We spent four nights at Linnen and enjoyed this gem of a hotel/guest house immensely. First of all the rooms are unique and designed with style and taste. Our room (#2) was huge with a lovely bathroom, a writing desk and unique "objets" from a bygone printing era. Anthony and Bodo, our hosts, were charming and exceedingly obliging at every turn. The small touches make this place unique...a well stocked honor bar saves one the trouble of finding a nice bottle of wine elsewhere, the breakfast is an amazing array of healthy options served in clever vessels, the attention to the environment is pervasive with no plastic water botttles or shampoo in tiny bottles, but perfect alternatives. We were also blissfully charmed by the fact that there was no wide screen TV in our room which was refreshing to say the least since we never watch TV. |||| Additionally, the guest house is situated ideally in a hip neighborhood with many restaurant options nearby and easy access to the U Bahn and trams that take you most anywhere you wish to go in Berlin. In short, we have already raved about the place to friends and we hope to return to Berlin sooner rather than later for another...
