The location looks elegant and modern, I liked it a lot. The food didn't surprise me, yes it was good but a few dishes were in my opinion not harmonic. In our table we had a person which couldn't eat gluten/lactose. I informed the restaurant a few days before, asking if there was food she could eat. They kindly phoned back confirming that there were some dishes for her. In reality they disassembled few of their dishes, removing the ingredients which were contaminated. As a result, the equilibrium of that dish didn't exist anymore! But we paid full price for it! For example, there was in the menu a "tuna erbse miso": they presented it without beans, but they didn't replace it with anything else that could substitute it.. Mostly I think the restaurant doesn't have an own identity. Few dishes looked Mediterranean, some others were German, I saw contaminations from India too. I visit many restaurants a year, from one like this I expect more quality and especially I expect you are able to serve a person with food problems. I was there with friends and I felt embarrassed. Final note, we had a table reserved at 21, and at 22 a waiter came asking to not make too much noise for his neighbors. Fine. Then after a few minutes he appeared back and said "schhh"! I basically stopped talking and after a few minutes I left the place. All the waiters except him looked so kind!

Heimlich Treu stands out as our ultimate favorite in Berlin's culinary scene, beckoning a return visit within our remaining two days. A hidden gem, its entrance is discreetly marked “Weinerei Frarosa,” leading through courtyards to reveal a sanctuary of gastronomic delight. The patio, with its whimsical decor, serves as a charming stage for the culinary dance of flavors and textures. Our server, Marko, provided impeccable service, enhancing our journey with his attentiveness and warmth, ensuring a cherished dining experience. We indulged in a chef-curated combination meal, a delightful array of over fifteen courses, each a showcase of culinary artistry and innovation, harmoniously blending aesthetics with flavors, earning our recommendation for a Michelin star. Every aspect of our visit to Heimlich Treu, from its enchanting ambiance and superb service to the symphony of taste in each meticulously crafted dish, was exceptional. This clandestine treasure blends innovation with timeless elegance, warranting our highest endorsement for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Berlin.

[update 15.07] Atmosphere was good as always. But good was so lala. I think the chef has changed? I dont know. Lack of balance. Beef carpaccio was ok but not awesome, ravioli was mediocre. Main: beef streak was welldone(we asked for mudium +), bouillon was salty, combination with kennel salad was also not good. I ordered watermelon jalapeños for side, it was good but some part wS just too sour like it has gone bad. Dessert, ordered mango rice… also bad. I dont know whT happened here. Where is balance of food? [old 2022, i guess] Liked the friendly service and vibe. Food was good and reached my expectations. But didnt give me new experiences or inspiration. It would have been better if they showed to us new combinations of ingredients.

Very disappointing experience

We were placed in the “tent” outside and not in the main restaurant. My wife was wearing a dress and it was 7 degrees outside. We were not allowed to move inside. I think this could have been mentioned when booking.

The night started with an aperitif. After that no attention was paid to if we had something to drink or not. My wife ended up drinking water the rest of the evening.

The appetizers we had (goat cheese & makerel) were great - 5/5.

The main course, truffles pasta, was really bad - especially when you consider the price. The pasta was really sticky and one portion had all the sauce and spinach and the other one was just pasta.

All in all the food is a mixed bag, the service is “Berlin cool” - friendly but pretty clueless and not paying attention.

I can really not recommend this place, especially not at this...
