HOMERA Coffee Berlin — Restaurant in Berlin

We have been visiting this place regularly since it re-opened after the lockdown, and are still in discovery mode regarding the plethora of guilt-free treats they have to offer. In the relatively bland and pretentious culinary landscape of Charlottenburg, this place is definitely a highlight. It offers health, delicate smoothies (freshly made from mostly organic ingredients), vegan, sugar-free, ketogenic deserts (all home-made, with great skill and taste), and - if you insist - your usual premium coffees. Add to this regular specials (today, I had an incredible herbal ice tea with lemon), and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Don't come if you are in a hurry, because everything is made right there, and good work in the kitchen takes a while... Did I mention the owners and the baristas are...

A nice, Cosy coffee place with nice interiors off the busy shopping pedestrian area of the Wilmersdorferstr. The staff is young and fine. Due the the big windows the place is full of light even on grey days. Free WiFi. Lovely assortment of coffee, smoothies, cake and quiche. Even vegan croissant. Nice music. German daily newspaper and several magazines. The flat white was delicious. For smokers or on warm days there are several tables. For wheelchair users might be difficult to get in due to the two steps at the entrance. Cash cards are accepted starting 7€ also credit cards are accepted. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the place. I ordered a cake and a cold Americano. The price is ridiculously expensive in my opinion. 5.5 euros for a medium glass with an espresso shot and one bulky ice cube?! In addition, I ordered a slice of poppy seed cake (6.5 euros) which was indeed large, but dry at the edges and with an unpleasant aftertaste of refrigeration.
