Chibo - Korean Chicken & Bowls — Restaurant in Berlin

I used to be a loyal customer from years ago (2019). It started great, excellent food and staff.

Recently the prices spiked incredibly. 14,20 for one bowl is a bit too much to be honest. Especially taking into account how it overall feels like it went downhill. Atmosphere inside is not the same. Service got so disappointing I don't leave the store thinking "I will come back again! :)".

One point that I really want to stress is the cash handling and customer service. I had this situation happened two times already. I paid cash, and the money I got back was rounded up by 80 cents without being told a word. Normally you tell your customers you don't have change and let them decide. The staff just assumed I was okay with tipping 80 cents, that to be fair I don't mind tipping it as long as it is my decision. Last time, when I asked what's up with the money/change, she only said "20 hand gestures 80" and didn't even gave a proper explanation why. Maybe I'm missing some rule about cash payment but I find it honestly abhorrent to just assume people will tip you, without any feeling of customer service, it is just plain rude...

Initially, we wanted to go to a Korean bbq nearby. However, it was packed and then we decided to look for other Korean restaurants nearby. And voilà, we found this gem 💎

Why am I so in love and bragging about this small place (the only thing I could criticize: no real seats inside, only outside)

For the listed prices, the sizes/portions of the meals were BIG. So big plus for me ⭐️ The staff was really hand-working since first, I saw the cashier was drenched in sweat and she still was super kind! Second, the food came very fast without lost of “quality” 💨 The AUTHENTICITY of the food was THERE! I had spent 4 months in Seoul and now, I can tell what is westernized and what is not. Here, I ordered: Bulgogi + radish and my bf Korean fried chicken + fries and it was unbelievably delicious.

What do you expect more? As I saw that this place is one of most popular places to order, I get it now. Check them out either in person or order because IT IS...

It's getting really bad guys and I am no longer being quiet about it. I really love your bowls and you have great chicken but the prices you pull up are a punch in the face. While you started with 9€ for a bowl which was really awesome for the size of the bowl I loved to come every week at least once. Therefore I was not mad about the first couple of price increases especially because there used to be a special offer. But since the last price increase you are charging 14.20€ for one bowl which is really insane. I still came although not so often anymore to support and get one of my favorite foods. But today I got a bowl with only as half as much rice and chicken as it used to be and I am really disappointed. That's way too much for a chicken salad with two spoons of rice and I don't feel like you really need that to survive. I honestly feel fooled and won't pay for...
