As a restaurants and food reviewer, Yesterday was my second visit to this place .. 1 st time I came one hour before closing time and most of items were not available even Yemeni Tea
2nd visit yesterday, reached around 8:00 PM ( 3 hours before closing time ) However again, all Mandi lamb and chicken not available beside other items .. had to order 1 chicken madfoon and 1 Zorbyan Lamb + 1 kebda ( Liver )
Waiting long time .. food finally arrived but Cold ! Has no steam and not even warm ..
Asked to re-heat .. came back after 10-15 minutes
From sitting time till this moment after re-heating is around 1 hour !!!
Started eating, but still food doesn’t seem to be fresh .. hot outside, cold inside Amount of meat was embarrassing.. mostly bones and fats Net meat doesn’t exceed 200 grams for a 18.5 Euro meal
Well cooked, spiced .
For Kebda ( Liver ) that was the shock .. literally was eating black pepper and spices .. has no taste of Liver .. amount of spices added was tremendous Half of the dish was potatoes so you order Liver dish - 50% Potatoes 20% other vegetables and spices 30% left is Liver ..
Bread was ok but more Tamees/Naan than Molawah …
I complaint about food to cashier while ordering Tea .. he offered tea for free ..
But this place is one of 2-3 places in Berlin of this speciality
Need to keep quality standards and menu ready all time
I don’t think I will visit again .. as always Mandi is not available 🤷🏻♂️
One last thing seems to be weird that you order at cashier and pay first then food comes .. that reduces the chance and makes it difficult to order more food or sides ..

Read moreHonestly, I really can't understand, how this place received 4,5 stars with over 4K reviews. My experience was very bad! Went there with my family and nobody left the place happy. First you have to order at the counter and pay upfront; unusual for that kind of restaurant, but I can live with that. No service, nobody came and asked us if we needed anything. Had to go to the other side of the restaurant to get some water. Many people running around, but nobody paying attention to the guests. We had several courses, nobody came and picked up the dirty dishes; we stacked them on top of each other put them on the edge of the table, but nobody cared to take them away. The restaurant didn't have most of the dishes that were on the menu; especially the one with lamb that they looks like is their most special dish, where the juicy meat is falling off the bone. Felt like they were baiting people in with all the photos of several dishes. Maybe it was just bad luck on our side. The meat was dry, overall very bad quality and there was nothing on the side like bread or some sort of salad. Maybe we had bad luck, but judging from the overall (lack of) work by the waiters, I...
Read moreThe food was excellent and the price is super fair for the portion. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will come back for sure.
We had a mix starter plate with hummus, baba ganoush, Moutabel and fatoush + bread for the start. The bread is fantastic the dips and salad were good, however nothing you have to go out of your way for.
The mains were absolutely delicious tho. Especially the Fahsa with lots of super tender beef, a very flavorful sauce and again the super delicious bread. The Fish Sanouna was also really good.
For dessert we had the massoub which was also very good, I've never eaten something similar before. The portion is insanely huge and it feels incredibly unhealthy with lots of cream and super sweet honey (kind of balances out with the bread and unsweetened cream tho). So it's worth a try but I'd definitely recommend sharing with at least one other person.
You can order at the cashier or from the website and they bring your food pretty quickly. The restaurant itself is nice enough, especially the back looks quite comfortable with the floor seats. Service...
