Krua Thai — Restaurant in Berlin

I’ve never experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior at a restaurant. We arrived at 11:45, 14 minutes before they officially opened, and they let us sit inside. When we got up to grab a menu ourselves, one of the staff shouted at us in Thai with rude gestures and an attitude that made us feel humiliated. We quietly went back to our seats, only for two staff members to start gossiping about us in Thai, making it obvious by looking at us repeatedly.

When they finally handed us the menu, their faces were cold and unwelcoming. But the moment white customers walked in, their attitudes completely changed, they were polite, smiling, and far more attentive. It was so blatantly discriminatory, it left us shocked.

We also used their fish sauce and chili, which were provided on the table. After we paid and were about to leave, one of the staff picked up the bottle, pointed it out to another, and started gossiping again, likely mocking how much chili we used.

This experience was beyond disappointing, it was offensive and borderline racist. I can’t believe they treated us, customers from the same region as them, with such disrespect while treating others so much better. I will never set foot in this restaurant again and would warn others to avoid it if they expect...

Super tasty Thai food for great prices. The place is close to a train station, just a short walk. The street outside is a bit loud but it's not bad to sit outside in the summer. The staff are super friendly and it's comfy to sit inside. I highly recommend the green curry with chicken. There are also vegetarian options with tofu. It's a really friendly place and I highly suggest supporting the family...

Have been coming here for well over a decade, and return weekly. It's unpretentious, but it's stellar Thai home style cooking with some specialities you won't be able to find anywhere else in Berlin.
