What a hidden gem! “

Not always everything that shines is gold and gold doesn’t need to shine to be gold”

From outside you would think that it is just a place for take-aways only. And to be completely honest, from inside “almost” as well.

We were very tired after a very long day and we just wanted to eat in before arriving home.

We checked a few restaurants near Leopoldplatze and we end up inside here.

Gorgeous food! Freshly prepared. Outstanding meat. The owner, a sweet Turkish man who moved to Berlin 27 years ago treated us like family! Not a proper restaurant, true. I wouldn’t bring a date to eat here. But for sure the perfect place to do a quick stop to eat. Very unfortunately, no alcohol served at all and only accepting cash but, as much I like to eat good meat with red wine or a nice cold beer, I can deal with a nice Coca-Cola. (If they served beer or wine will help the business for sure)

I visited this magnificent Turkish restaurant, this extraordinarily delightful meal has evoked cherished memories of my visits to Gaziantep, and I must avow, it approaches a level of culinary perfection that might even surpass them! The exquisitely spiced Lahmacun, the uniquely fascinating Keçe Papa, and the sublimely flavorful Saç Kavurma orchestrated a symphony of gustatory pleasure, leaving me utterly satisfied and thoroughly enchanted. The unexpected offering of tea was an exceptionally gracious gesture. This entire experience has stirred within me an intense desire to transport myself back to the captivating allure of Turkey with immediate urgency; it is, quite simply, an extraordinary sensation. Great spot to try! The owner was very kind and created a custom menu for us (almost threw all meat for us in the grill for 6people). It was quite pricey for us as the owner kinda didn’t give us the price for the custom plate, but the food was worth it!

Would definitely recommend to try if you are in the area. Also their bread was super nice and they gave some side (in my 4th picture which I don’t know the name) was awesome...
