I used to visit Lon Men's Noodle House several times during my stay in Germany. I like the beef noodles there, it's not that easy to find a Asian restaurant cheap and delicious like them on Kant street. So I not only went there by myself but also introduced them to my firends.
However, the more times I went there the more racial prejudice I found from their staffs. Once I was going to pay up, I paid him 10 Euro with 5 Euro paper and 1~2 Euro coins first then I was counting small change (from 5cent to 50cent) for the rest. And then the cashier told me he didn't want Cents and ask me please just go away with a unpleasant attitude.
On another occasion, my friends went shopping in Berlin and didn't know what they want to eat. I told them there is a Taiwanese Noodle House. Unfortunately they were first time there and had no idea about their rules: bring your own water is not allowed. One of them held a bottle of water in the hand and went into the restaurant, after the meal they told me the staffs were unfriendly and they could even clearly hear that staffs whispered in another room like "people from main land China are very impolite", that experience was terrible and unfair for them as guests.
If you read some of negative comments here, the staff was very likely to give a response in this way: "the Each guest has a different taste. We are glad that 99% of our guests are very satisfied with our dishes and service!" They are proud of the other favourable comments, but the negatives are mostly written by Asians. And the reason, if you would like to consult, primary was about the staffs attitude, they were treated unfriendly. On the top of that, why it was only Asian guests feel unsatisfied and uncomfortable? Anyway Lon Men's Noodle House is an Asian restaurant but it has prejudice against Asian people. Ridiculous!
Read moreThis restaurant was recommended by many friends because this is opened by the relatives of another common friend. My parents are from Taiwan and so we went and tried the beef noodle soup, which is one of the most famous dishes of Taiwan.
The soup itself was authentic. It tastes like home - the beef and the soup base are the most important parts of this dish and they were very good, although I wish to have a bit more veggies because I personally like veggies in noodle soups.
We also ordered a cup of green tea and didn’t expect much out of it, but then we got this oolong tea that you can only buy from a professional tea shop! I have relatives who plant bio hand-picked and roasted oolong tea in Taiwan’s mountains and so I was very surprised that this restaurant serves such good quality tea to customers who probably don’t know how expensive these tea leaves are in Taiwan. In Taiwan, this kind of tea would be middle tier for tea enthusiasts, but don’t let the category name “middle-tier” fools you because middle-tier means the leaves were hand-picked (as opposed to machine-cut), unbroken before they arrived at the roasting master’s shop. Therefore, the tea isn’t bitter like the low-tier bio green tea you buy in...

The food came within 10 minutes after we ordered. It's really nice and sold at a very reasonable price. Even if the restaurant seems crowded you don't have to wait very long to get a table.
In detail:
According to my friend this restaurant is almost always crowded. So you might have to wait for a short while, before you get to sit down and eat. It actually seemed like most people go there to eat and leave the restaurant very soon after finishing their food. So my friend and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant and we as well had to wait in a queue for about four minutes before we got a table.
Once we sat down and got the menu we ordered a sprite, a genmai green tea, fried noodles and a wantan noodle soup.
The sprite came in a glass bottle and was served with a glass. The genmai green tea on the other hand came in a plastic bottle but was not served with a glass. So I guess that's the only criticism that I would bring up.
We were kind of astonished that our food was served like within ten minutes after we ordered our dishes.
We ordered quite some simple dishes but they were delicious, came in a good quality and were sold at a very...
