Marthas Delicious Burgers — Restaurant in Berlin

A bit surprised at the quantity of 5-star reviews on here. There is much much better in Berlin, all things considered. I had a burger for take-away, so my experience has been obviously suboptimal, I'll try it again to give them a second chance. But as it stands, I would not recommend this place.

Ordering and picking up the burger and fries was a nice experience, the waiter was very friendly and even added a couple of chocolates in our bags! The wait was also very short. The food though was unfortunately not as good.

The fries were by far the worse part of the experience. I felt that I could have donea better job buying frozen fries at the supermarket and cooking them in my oven. They were fluffy and soggy, and tasted of nothing. The ketchup and mayo provided also felt very standard supermarket-quality stuff. None of this had any edge to it. The burger itself felt a bit better, even though the bun had gotten very much soggy on the (very short) ride home. The burger itself was a bit too small for my expectations, but it tasted nice. There were far too many onions covering it though - they were good, but there was so much of then that their taste covered...

Had this place on my list for a good while and am happy to report that I indeed get a delicious burger.

The food. Really really well balanced Burger. I got Marthas Lieblingsburger and it was a very cool combination of things I never had on a burger before but it worked really well. Expected a bit more from the Wasabi Mayo but whatever, the combination of it all was really good and I thorougly enjoyed the meal. Got Cheesey Fries as a side and they have the american runny cheese on there. Not entirely sure what it is but imagine the cheese burger kind has on its chili cheese burgers. Was a great combination too tho. Salted to taste and everything.

Place had a diner-esque aesthetic, was clean and well lit. Service brings you your food and cleans up the tables in a timely manner.

A family run burger bar that cares about quality and taste. The burger is assembled with loving attention and the fries are crunchy. Much thought has gone into the whole package; I love the caraway seeded bun. The meat is obviously of high quality and cooked as a burger should be cooked- not to death ;-)

If you want a grade A burger experience, visit Martha's Delicious Burgers. You won't be disappointed.

— I’m editing this review in November 2020. With great regret the quality here has changed. Three visits now have been sub par. Orders are often incorrect meaning there is waiting around for take away food. Who wants to eat cold burgers? But the patty itself is not as juicy as it previous was. And the fries lack crunch. A once a while family treat has been lost. The only positive thing is this, my waist line...
