Mekong — Restaurant in Berlin

The food was good. But it was the worst service I’ve ever experienced.

First, we waited for almost an hour for our food. Two customers who bought a lot of take-out food during that time got all the food earlier than we did, even though they came later than us, while at the moment we only got drinks. I couldn't help but wonder if it was because we were all Asian that we were treated this way by the owner who was also Asian.

Secondly, one of us saw the lady owner filming us with her phone and when we went to ask about it, she didn't apologize or delete the video taken.

Third, I didn't get the bill when I checked out and found out I had paid 0.5 euro more after I finished the check. After I told the owner that my money was miscalculated, she replied: You checked out by credit card, I have no way to give you a refund, so consider it a tip. Is this how we are supposed to pay tips???

Fourth, after all of us paid our bills, the owner still said that someone hadn't paid - of course, this was their own bookkeeping mistake, yet they didn't show any apology from the beginning to the end.

Fifth, when one of us asked why we waited for an hour to get our food, the owner made a very impatient gesture and said, because she was too busy - of course, she still...

Another avarage Vietnamese restaurant, with a good location and fine food. Located at U-Station Schönleinstraße, it's easy to find and grab a bite. Staff was fine, just too busy. A certain waiting time was given. The food was prepared freshly and was alright. Had better Vietnamese food in Berlin with lower prices and/or bigger portions. food was fresh and tasty, service was horrible, the guys were mimicking my English and laughing at me that I spoke English, if it wasn’t for that nice lady who serviced me, I would have left a worse review. I wished for her to find a better position to work at. She was very friendly, spoke some English understood more.
