Nem — Restaurant in Berlin

When deciding on a restaurant, the most important thing to look out for is good taste of the food. Sadly, our visit at Nem did not live up to our expectations.

The spring rolls and gyozas did not taste super fresh. Also, the portion included very little sauce. The summer rolls we’re ok, but the peanut sauce was watery and flavorless. The same goes for the glass noodle salad with tofu. It did not have much taste and I personally didn’t enjoy the way the tofu was prepared. The Phở soup was decent. Not the best I had but definitely ok for the price. The other dishes ordered by my group were pretty dry apparently.

As for drinks, the Chan Đá lemonade was quite disappointing. It rather tasted like an expensive sparkling water with a hint of lemon flavor.

Service was friendly, but could have been better and faster. Simple decor.

Prices are fair. Cash only. Vegan...

Absolutely unbelievable. Been in Berlin for a week now, and this was by far the best dinner for quality and value. The Curry Pho wow. All starters were straight out of the top basket. Summer and baby shrimp rolls were delish. Relaxed vibe. Family run Vietnamese restaurant with Dad in the kitchen and family front of house, everything was just so so good. Cocktails were boozy and at €5.90 , again, incredible value.

Thought we couldn't eat anymore but we went for the traditional dessert and it was spectacular! Could not recommend this...

Another one of those underrated restaurants in Kreuzberg. A hidden gem. I love the family-run business. From the warm and genuine welcomes to the personalised touch to dishes, I always feel looked after whenever I eat here. The food is top notch, and such great value. Great selection on the menu, great vegan alternatives. Definitely a place to come...
