Huong Que Restaurant — Restaurant in Berlin

I have visited this place multiple times during lunch times and so far I was actually very happy. However last time I visited nearly all was bad. We ordered, waited 30 minutes, then it seemed they forgot to place our order. We asked when it would come and they replied a bit annoyed and said in a minute. Then a bit later they came to ask what we ordered. Then we got the food but all three had stomach problems afterwards. Just heard from my colleague some visitors of this place had a food poisoning yesterday which was the trigger for me to write this review. Even more annoyingly is that when we paid the woman had earpieces in and was calling with someone while taking our payment which is just very unprofessional. We all three concluded we will never ever get back...

The veggie pad Thai here is not even close to actual pad Thai... My dish didn't even include peanuts (like written on the menu) and the sauce didn't taste anything like tamarind sauce. I had to check a couple times that what I got was actually what I ordered but it seems like that's "their version" of pad Thai and it's nothing like the real thing. It was basically a bland rice noodle stir fry with tofu and fake meat.

I was turned off by some of the veggies tasting a bit off and not so fresh (like the broccoli in my dish and the squash in my husbands).

Husband thought the duck was a bit dry.

On the plus side The veggie egg rolls were good but I probably won't be back to try anything else on their...

The food is really good BUT

1. The host/waitress was extremely unfriendly. Not a single smile, came across as very arrogant and even rude. Was very pushy for us to make the order.

2. We payed 130 euros and they charged me 1 euro for takeaway. We already payed by card and didn't have cash so she said we have to pay this 1 euro in cash but agreed finally to let me pay by card. My card didn't work and the waitress was irritated. For 130 euros I believe we can take the box free?

Unfortunately the food doesn't compensate for the service. There are lots of other good places with kind and attentive waiters. Very poor service and I won't come as we felt unwelcomed due to unfriendly...
