My turmeric latte was just superb, and my husband enjoyed his flat white as well. My waffle was also amazing, like it didn't even need syrup. The grilled cheese was another marvel, just yum! Sadly, a table got our order initially and gobbled it up like it was theirs.. Which begs the question, how does one order tacos and then receive a grilled cheese and eat it without questioning if it's yours or not (lol)! The staff apologized, and we completely understood - we were more perplexed as to why the table in front of ours had no problem eating our food as if they had ordered it and then trying to receive our corrected order after they had cooked our food.. funny times! (Not the fault of the staff, it was a simple mistake and truly the customer should have noticed). The service is a bit slow and it's clear they are understaffed (not at the fault of anyone and I hope they can get the help they need). The food is amazing and so is the atmosphere, please go if you haven't!

Excellent cute little cafe that is completely vegan and gluten-free, so a heaven for celiacs. The easy peasy breakfast with tofu scramble was delicious, so was the Oreo cake. Service was super friendly, you can pay with card (big bonus!) and the atmosphere is very cozy. Will definitely be back! My only hope is that they will switch over to gluten-free oatmilk at some point too (edit: Just to add, what I mean by this is I hope they remove the risk of gluten contamination by having oatmilk containing gluten - this poses a certain risk for celiacs in terms of the coffee equipment, dishwasher etc.) 2023 update, I went back to check out the new location near Prenzlauer Allee and it was an even nicer bigger space, and food still really good.

With its all-vegan AND gluten-free menu, the restaurant EasyPeasy really stands out by being able to accommodate various dietary restrictions at once. Several Western and Middle-Eastern inspired dishes, such as Belgian Waffles, Scrambled Tofu, vegan Omelette and the Easy Peasy Shakshuka Special, are offered here along with a daily changing selection of desserts, such as cheese cakes, fruit cakes and chocolate cakes. So far I have tried the vegan, gluten-free and soy-free Omelette, as well as the savory Waffle, both served with a freshly-made side salad, which have been absolutely delicious! If you're looking for vegan and gluten-free food options in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg - look no further!

I visited this café earlier this year on a weekend, and to this day the experience has left me deeply frustrated.

When I first entered, the atmosphere felt nice. I ordered a coffee and a small cake immediately, which I have to say were both really good, so I want to be fair about that part. However, what followed completely ruined my impression.

After got my food and cafe I and opened my laptop, a staff member (who was actually very polite and kind, so I don’t blame her personally) came over and told me that laptops are not allowed on weekends. I was surprised, because nowhere in the café was this rule written or displayed. I explained that I haven’t seen any display about this rule and I had already ordered, could I finish my coffee and cake quickly before leaving. After we took some mins finding there’s literally no rules displayed, She agreed that the rule wasn’t clearly marked, but still insisted that I could not use my computer, because it would “disturb other guests.” Honestly, the scene of us negotiating m in the middle of the café, with everyone looking at us, disturbed the atmosphere far more than my quietly drinking coffee with a laptop ever would have.

I then asked to speak with the manager. The manager came and the response from her was simply: “No, you can’t.” Her attitude was dismissive and unhelpful, as if I had done something terribly wrong. Eventually, the staff offered me a “special exception” and took me into another room, which i guess won’t open during the weekend so it was dark and cold. I felt so uncomfortable when everybody looked at me lead by the staff to this room. After couple mins, I felt really cold, when I asked if the heating could be turned on, I was told “we have already give you a special treat. Normally you have to extra 1 euro for this”….😅

Standing out as the only Asian customer in the café, being escorted into a separate room under everyone’s eyes, felt humiliating and left me extremely uncomfortable. I am not accusing them of discrimination, but the way the situation was handled felt degrading and unreasonable.

In the end, if this had been clearly displayed, I would have respected it. The issue is the lack of transparency, the poor communication, and the manager’s condescending attitude towards a paying customer.

This experience has stayed with me all year, and after passing by the café again recently, I felt I had to finally write this review. I sincerely hope that by now they have made their policies clear and treat future guests with more fairness and respect.

👇The message i wanna text you back after your comment:

You can cross-check this directly with the staff member who was present at that time. We even searched together in a clearly visible area of the main hall, and she awkwardly admitted that there was no sign displayed although she confirmed such a rule existed. (“hinterraum”you mentioned was locked before offering me a “special treatment ”and you have to cross the hall to get there ) There was absolutely no clear information about laptops being prohibited. If I had seen such a notice at the entrance, I would not have entered the café in the first place.

I did not emphasize my background. I believe my review was fair and balanced ( please read through carefully) I also never criticized the food, but I did criticize the service attitude as you showed here. What I wrote simply reflects what I personally experienced, I have no intention of defaming your café and I was just being truthful about...

I saw this place on Happy Cow's Instagram. They were listed as having one of the top 10 vegan cheesecakes and I would agree with them. I arrived in Berlin around 8am but I had to get a nap in before getting up to explore. I was worried about being late because the website says they close at 5pm and the kitchen closes at 3pm, but to my delight they were still open when I figured out how to get there. It was around 4pm when I got there and they still served drinks and cakes. I was seated at a table and they gave me a menu. Everyone spoke English and that made it easy for me. I showed them the Instagram post and asked for the cheesecake as well as the Golden Turmeric drink. I picked soy milk because I like the taste, but also I really like getting the nutrition from it. The cheesecake is perfect. It's creamy and the texture is spot on compared to what I remember regular cheesecake tasting like. It has some chocolate powder stuff on it that was good too, but I almost would prefer it without that. The chocolate crust is really good though and I would highly recommend getting a piece. The turmeric drink was delicious and it was beautiful with it's cute design on the top. I would definitely make this trip again and maybe next time I can get my butt out of bed to get there earlier to try a real meal.

Pros: Accepts credit/debit cards, Soy milk is available, Cheesecake was perfect

Cons: Kitchen...
