📍 Oshione, Katzbachstraße (Berlin)
Walking into Oshione feels like walking into a safe haven, a bakery that doesn’t just feed you, but welcomes you with open arms. For someone who’s gluten-free, this space feels nothing short of magical.
We ordered: Cinnamon Swirl 🥹 Dark Chocolate Swirl 🍫 Chocolate Chip Cookie 🍪
And let me tell you… biting into these pastries was nothing short of cinematic. Imagine the scene in a film when the world slows down, music swells, and the main character takes that first bite that changes everything. That was me.
✨ The Cinnamon Swirl was soft and pillowy, perfectly spiced, and had that delicate balance between sweet and comforting, like a hug in pastry form. Each layer melted in my mouth, unlocking memories of childhood comfort but elevated to something entirely new.
🍫 The Dark Chocolate Swirl was pure indulgence. Rich, deep chocolate notes paired with the lightness of the dough created the most divine contrast. Every bite felt like discovering a hidden chapter in a story you didn’t know you needed to read.
🍪 The Chocolate Chip Cookie had the perfect crisp edge with a gooey centre, the kind of cookie you dream about. Every bite was rich with chocolate, not overly sweet, but perfectly balanced, like it was crafted with absolute intention.
Beyond the food, the bakery itself is warm, inviting, and beautiful. The staff add so much heart to the space. A special thank you to the wonderful soul behind the counter that day, you radiated kindness, and your warmth turned a simple stop for pastries into the highlight of our day.
For the gluten-free and vegan community, this bakery is more than a place to eat, it’s a sanctuary. I left not just full, but deeply happy, grateful, and inspired.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A 10/10 experience. Oshione, you have my heart (and...
Read moreSurprise, surprise, something new and creative in Berlin! Luckily I stumbled across Oshione at my weekly neighborhood market, otherwise it might have taken me much longer to jump on this delicious bandwagon 😋😛 Today was a perfect opp to share some opinions on this Gluten-free bakery: Worth the price. If you want cheap bread, go somewhere else. The prices are fair when you look further than the gluten-free label. The ingredients are nutritious flours, nuts and seeds that cost more than starch and thickeners. Even for non-glutenfree people, Oshione breads are tasty and hearty. If my grandma made sourdough, GF pizza, muffins and Zimtschnecke, they would taste as good (hopefully). The bread and all Aureen's creations will make you feel as if the baker would come out to make sure that you've eaten enough. always something new: sandwiches, muffins, Brotchen (Kurkuma rolls and apple tartchen today!)- the curiosity in me is hungry indeed- Nuff said 😃 The staff cares. Sitting and watching, it is clear to see. Customers feel welcome and special. That's...
Read moreI have recently gone gluten free to see how my body feels since I might have a sensitivity to gluten so Oshione was on my list of places to try. I got the carrot cake and the day old cinnamon roll. The carrot cake was moist and the frosting wasn’t really sweet, so I enjoyed it for what it was. The cinnamon roll was warmed up but maybe because I don’t have a taste for gluten free treats and/or because it was day old, the texture wasn’t pleasant to me. No where near the fluffy chewy non gluten free types or even in a way that I could appreciate. The prices were okay but quite a few things were pricey as heck like 15€ for a loaf of bread. Depends on what you’re looking for and able/willing to pay! I might try it again some time but not in any rush.
Friendly staff. One woman doesn’t speak German (not a judgment - neither do I). Self-service. The cinnamon roll was brought to us after it had been warmed up so happy to give 5 stars there....
