In 2024, especially in Berlin, and even more in Friedrischain, it's hard to believe you still need to charge extra money to add oat milk to your coffee instead of cow milk. We were left very disappointed about this issue. We understand the taxes have recently increased a lot in Germany, but I do not see why if in many other places in Berlin they do not charge extra for vegan alternative milks, here they need to do it. Especially when coffee is normally a thing with a huge benefit margin in this kind of establishments. Regarding the food tho, one of us tried the ice cream and really loved it. We were with kids and the environment was nice and family friendly. However as a vegan, I felt it was not the right space for me, since I could only eat a couple of ice creams but no cakes or sweets, and because of the issue mentioned...

This place is an absolute gem! Super cozy with beautiful decor—you can tell the owners, an Italian-Spanish couple, put a lot of love into it. Their Italian gelato is for sure authentic and hand made by Enrico, the owner. I liked that they have the classics and also very original flavours that they invent!). They also have cakes (La Nonna and the Strawberry Cheesecake are a must!), pastries, lasagna, warm quiche, wines and more. It all feels so homemade and fresh. Even though I visited this café in winter, I still thoroughly enjoyed their gelato. It’s a small, charming place that feels authentic – the owner seems to be from Italy. I tried the mango gelato and the cheesecake flavor. The mango was wonderfully fruity with a tangy kick, and I’d highly recommend it. The cheesecake was more like a classic ice cream bar but still tasty.
