Very relaxed place for both, an evening drink and a family meal. It has a very German feel to it, exactly as someone from the UK would expect. There is a jazzy feel about the place and from the posters dotted around the walls, it's something that it is heavily involved in.

The staff are very welcoming and most speak good English so ordering is not a problem. The menu has both German and English descriptions of the food.

The menu is small and some of the food is, from at least my point of view, unusual. But I suppose that's the point, to try something that you can't experience at home.

The pork knuckle was excellent and it was huge!

Parking is available in the streets and there are many close by so we found a space...

Had my wedding celebration at Ratskeller Köpenick. Throughout the months of planning their event team supported us via email and fullfilled all of our wishes, be it menu, cake or decorations and also adapted to last minute changes. Then the big day came and everything was fabulous. Staff was extremely nice and coordinated with us proactively each of the different courses. Speaking of courses, the food was fantastic. We started with a rich lunch buffet, had later coffee and cake and finished with Rathausteller and Forelle. Wines were also delicious. This was certainly not my last visit of this fantastic restaurant with a lovely interior and the nicest staff I met in Berlin restaurants. +They often...

The food was great. However, we had a horrible experience with the waiter.

The waiter, Murad, was initially very pleasant and welcoming when we ordered our food and wine and he was very nice when delivering the food and checking up on us. However, when we tried to pay by card, my card got decline for some reason due to a bank issue, and he immediately turned sour and demanded another card. He immediately became incredible curt and rude with us, avoiding eye contact before he returned while we sorted out our payment. And after we finally successfully paid, he threw the card down onto the table and left.

Disgraceful service, would have loved to return but not in a million...
