As a self-proclaimed foodie, my life has always been a journey to find the best food. And when I set my foot into Sahara Imbiss for the first time and took a bite of the Sahara Spezial mix Teller, I immediately knew that I had finally arrived at my destination. The perfectly balanced mix of ingredients, covered in the best peanut sauce I ever had, harmonising with a mildly sweet mango sauce, made me realise that Sahara is a special, a unique place. Read morePerfectly decent vegan plate. I had the Sahara vegan teller for €5. It had several different vegetables, falafel and fried tofu on a bed of iceberg lettuce. Had plenty of peanut sauce and had them add chilli sauce. It was good, but not super tasty.
Sandwiches: I've returned a few times and tried the Makali (sad it doesn't have fried Aubergine and they don't grill the sandwich like others) and fohl (beans) with falafel -- which was quite good as was the tofu.
Unfortunately, none of these was quite 5-⭐ delicious like "Sahara Imbiss" (king of falafel) or Maroush.
I plan to try everything vegan on the menu 😉
