I recently had the pleasure of dining at Delirio, a brand new fine Mexican restaurant in Berlin located at Reichenberger Strasse 125. From the moment I stepped inside, I could see that Delirio is committed to delivering a truly outstanding dining experience.
The restaurant's motto, "the good Mexican cuisine" is evident in every aspect of their offerings. One can't help but be impressed by the quality of the food they serve. Each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, leaving a lasting impression on both the taste buds and the senses. See photos.
The taco selection at Delirio is solidThe Tacos de la Milpa, Tacos de Pescado, and Tacos de Cochinita are all must-tries. The flavors are rich and authentic, with the meat cooked to perfection and the homemade tortillas providing the perfect vessel for the fillings. The Tacos de Tinga de Pollo stood out in particular, with tender, shredded chicken smothered in a flavorful sauce that left me craving for more.
I hear their Ceviche is great… time to find out!
Delirio doesn't stop at tacos; their Quesadillasas Queso and Quesadillas de Pollo are equally delightful. The quesadillas are generously filled with gooey cheese or succulent chicken, creating a wonderful combination of textures and flavors. Each bite is a reminder of why Mexican cuisine has captivated the hearts and taste buds of food lovers worldwide.
Delirio is a true new gem in the Berlin dining scene. Their dedication to delivering "la buena cocina de Mexico" is palpable in every mouthwatering bite. I highly recommend visiting this fine Mexican restaurant at Reichenberger Strasse 125 for a culinary journey that will leave you with an appreciation for the flavors and traditions of Mexico...
Read moreI really want to leave a great review of this restaurant, but there are some things definitely wrong that should be fixed. We visited twice on our few days in Berlin. On the first visit, everything was generally good, the main mix-up was that one entree arrived at our table more than 30 minutes after the other two, which were also slow to come out. Nobody working in the dining room noticed my entree was missing, I had to point it out to them and only after my reminder it was delivered five or so minutes later. We did like the restaurant and had excellent cocktails on our first visit so we decided to try it again a couple nights later. On the second night the cocktails were not nearly as good as our first visit (different bartender) and all of the food was way too slow coming out of the kitchen. There do not seem to be enough staff in either the kitchen or in the dining room to make things run smoothly. If they fixed this I think they have a really good thing going, the atmosphere in the restaurant is very fun and comfortable, and the food is quite good. Staff were very nice in the moments we were able to have their very...
Read moreReally bad. First of all they had no option to order just totopos (tortilla chips) without the expensive and environmentally unfriendly guacamole, why can't I just order totopos with some salsas as most people in Mexico eat them? You HAVE to sell me guacamole for 13eur??
So then I asked them in the special notes if they can send me just some totopos, and I ordered a coke for 3,50eur to pay for it but asked them to send the totopos instead. However they not only completely ignored this note, but also sent me a DIET coke instead of a normal coke, so I can't even enjoy the coke!! Then the food arrived cold, and the tacos are completely overstuffed with meat, it's too much meat for every taco, and the beans on the side are tasteless.
The food is fairly authentic Mexican food but mediocrely executed, and when the service is so bad and you don't even get the totopos it completely ruins the enjoyment of the mediocre food (otherwise I'd give it at least 3, probably even 4 stars, because I'm generally pretty generous if you at least give me the...
