Knowing this is a popular weekend brunch spot and not having a reservation, I showed up as close to opening time as I could. I probably didn't need to arrive at 9:01 as it's not San Francisco brunch culture and most of Berlin was likely still asleep. I had no trouble getting a table but could see that a number were reserved for a more reasonable 10:00 hour.

The menu is fairly limited with your standard Geman breakfast fare. You know, meat, cheese, bread. I opted for the mixed plate and as I like to eat a little bit of lots of things, this worked well for me. I appreciated the whimsical plating and it was fun to try different combinations of fruit, meat and cheese together on the bevy of breads held in my basket. The coffee was acceptable to get the day started. This is a good place for a different riff on what can start to feel monotonous. There were pancakes on the menu if you prefer something sweeter and other choices as well. I got the feeling the few dishes they had, they did well.

There's plenty of outdoor seating and the abundant foliage creates the feeling of being in a garden and affording some privacy from your neighbors. There was only the occasional trill of a car down the cobblestone street. Service was good and...

stars = very very slow service and try pick your seats! I was really looking forward to coming here after reading it's reviews however I had to dock it 2 stars and that is mostly on service. We were seated quite quickly, but our seat was attached to a kind of shrub trolley that was full of dead plants and cigarette butts. The table was tiny so the corner of this "trolley" was very uncomfortably intrusive. We ordered and sat for 45mins to get our food, which by this time, in the 28 degree heat and uncomfortable seat our patience was very thin. My dish was very tasty and my coffee was great. My partners food was good and his juice was a let down being described as a cherry juice, it was a fizzy quite...

Extremely rude waiter! The guy didn't really like the fact that we were speaking English. He gave me the wrong drink and insisted that I ordered this one. When my friend asked him about having sweet potato with her meal he simply said "NO". At the end, I wanted to pay 15€ for my share of the meal and he insisted that I tell him the exact items and after accepting he told my friend that she needs to pay "At least" 9€. Funny thing was that he referred to Euro as "German Cash". I still can't believe people like this exist in metropolitans. Food was mediocre with fancy presentation. So...

We had the normal vegan & vegetarian breakfasts. These were a bit on the pricey side but filling and tasty. There was lots of fruit and good savoury spreads on the plate. The bread was fresh and flavoursome. Service was pleasant and not too overbearing - it had personality from each server. We got a table fast even at Saturday midday. Update: Have gone back to eat a few times and also with a larger group of friends on a Saturday and service was extremely friendly to us, fast and food was delicious. Definitely my favourite breakfast spot in the neighbourhood still.

I just recently added the Sunday brunch to my regular “lazy Sunday” routine and visits like today do support my decision. 🤣 I did ask before what is recommended and I am completely am happy to pass that recommendation on here: Ei im Glas, Bomber der Herzen and the Brioche. 👌🏼 The pancakes were also on the list but we were stuffed already. We might just have to come back for more. 🤣 The only slightly negative thing to add would be “Beware of the bees”. 🙈😅 It’s been a wonderful brunch experience! 🤩🤤👌🏼

We had heard of the restaurant and planned to go in advance. 11am was peak time and we had to wait outside until a table became available. Menu consisted of mainly light breakfasts - most healthy with greens and the like. I opted for Strammer max with eggs, cheese and bacon. It was gorgeous and I would thoroughly recommend. The setting was very nice indeed. It was my wife and I. 2 coffees, water, juice and 2 breakfasts came to €30
