Sangam Restaurant, Berlin: I am not an Indian food expert. My eating experience in this location was as good as it could possibly be all the way down to the Tikka Shashlik Sizzler.
When you walk into the place, there are welcoming smiles. Of course it’s nothing like any restaurant I visited in India but, you do have the feeling a little bit that "Yeah I’m in India". You see the photos? Well, the food taste as good as these photos look let me tell you.
The fried mushroom appetizer was great. The rice perfect as you see. Oh! Tthat green hot sauce be careful with that if you’re not used to eating hot stuff.
Did you know that they don’t have red sauce in India.
If you’re curious as to what the names are of these dishes, when you visit the location, show them the photos and they will tell you what it is.
Service: The service was just fine. They served everything in a timely matter and my favorite thing is the sizzling dishes, and it was served sizzling away. Very nice.
Prices: The prices are reasonable buy drinks that does jack the price up a bit but, other than that yes, price was right that evening.
This location has been there for several years and I’ve seen two or three other locations try there and fail. So, ladies and gentlemen Sangam Indian Restaurant are here to stay.
Enjoy your time there and share this...
Read moreI recently dined at Sangam Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a memorable meal. The service was outstanding; the staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making the evening special.
One standout element was how the chef tailored the dishes to my personal taste preferences without compromising the authenticity of the Indian flavors. Every dish retained the rich, traditional taste of India, which is a rarity to find in Germany. Having tried multiple Indian restaurants here, I can confidently say that Sangam serves the best authentic Indian cuisine in the country. The flavors were bold yet balanced, capturing the essence of true Indian cooking.
If you’re craving authentic Indian food that truly respects the roots of the cuisine while being open to personal preferences, Sangam is the place to go. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a genuine taste of India!
The dessert, Gulab Jamun, was the highlight of the meal—sweet, soft, and delicious. It ended our meal on a happy note, making the whole experience even...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and have always enjoyed the good food and nice atmosphere. However, the service during my last visit was very disappointing and made me wonder how many other people have been overcharged like this.
We were four people having dinner. I ordered a soup as a starter, which never arrived properly. I asked for a replacement, but it never came only the others received their starters, and then the main courses were served. The food was tasty as usual, but the service was noticeably slower this time.
When it was time to pay, each of us said what we had ordered, and we paid separately. Without asking, the waiter added the soup which I never got to my total. I noticed it on the payment screen. When the receipt printed, he quickly took it and crumpled it up. I grabbed it from him and confronted him about the charge.
This is unacceptable. I doubt I’m the only one this has happened to. Please be careful, double check your bill, and always ask for a receipt. I won’t be coming back to a place that behaves like this. It’s a shame, because the...
