Tandoori Palace + lieferservice — Restaurant in Berlin

This is one of very few restaurants I have rated, usually because I only rate them if they are wonderful or terrible. Tandoori Palace is definitely the former. It has fantastic everything:

--Super delicious and fresh food, somehow actually very cheap (for two people, with (cocktail) drinks, I spend about 20 Euros) --Depending on the time of day, they'll likely bring you extra papadam, bhatura, or naan, and possibly mango liquor --Friendly staff and servers --Great atmosphere and music --Midday specials starting at 4.50, includes soup --Always, always has plenty of open tables --Huge menu, tons of vegan and vegetarian options, but I hear the meat dishes are also tasty --Doesn't take any time hardly at all to get the first and subsequent courses

For real, this place is the best. I'm just concerned they'll go out of business because so few people are there...

Ich gehe seit etwas über einem Jahr halbwegs regelmäßig mit meiner Großmutter bei diesem Inder essen, bis jetzt war ich wohl so an die 15 mal dort.

Das Essen ist meines Erachtens nach sehr gut, und auch Verhältnismäßig preiswert. Normalerweise geben wir zu zweit um die 25-30 Euro dort aus. Für ein komplettes Essen mit Vorspeise, einigen Beilagen und Getränken, finde ich das völlig akzeptabel.

Besonders empfehlenswert finde ich das Mango Chicken, Kashmiri Chicken und Chicken Spezial sowie Paneer Pakora oder Chicken Pakora als Vorspeise.

Auch das Mango Lassi schmeckt dort sehr gut, und ist ungewöhnlicherweise auch bis dato immer frei von Haaren gewesen. Das hatte ich so bis jetzt bei keinem anderen Inder, bei den anderen ist es entweder nicht wirklich lecker, oder es ist mindestens ein Haar drin.

Seltsamerweise schmeckt mir aber das normale Chicken Curry hier nicht. Es wirkt auf mich sehr angepasst und etwas fad. Wahrscheinlich damit es auch Kinder oder empfindliche Menschen vertragen, welche mit der üblichen schärfe von indischem Essen nicht umgehen können. Ich habe es jedenfalls nach drei Versuchen aufgegeben. Wenn Sie also mit Kindern dort sind, bestellen Sie Ihnen ruhig das Chicken Curry.

Das Ambiente finde ich ebenfalls recht ansprechend, es herrscht eine recht entspannte, ruhige Atmosphäre, welche lediglich durch den gelegentlichen Kellner unterbrochen wird. Wenn es warm ist, kann man auch draußen sitzen, was aber deutlich weniger entspannt ausfallen kann, nicht unbedingt wegen dem Verkehr, der ist für Neukölln angenehm ruhig, sondern eher wegen de oder Wespen, welche von den süßen Gerüchen einiger der Gerichte angelockt werden können, aber dafür kann das Restaurant schließlich nichts.

Die Toiletten waren bis jetzt immer sauber und ordentlich, Hygiene sollte also wirklich kein Problem darstellen.

Alles in allem kann ich das Tandoori Palace wirklich nur empfehlen, sonst würde ich auch wohl kaum alle 1-2 Monate dort...
