Dry Gin bar and Beef is the place to go if you want to enjoy cocktails and their staff. We were visiting Berlin for 4 days, where we were 5 people who visited the place 3 days in a row. the selection of the different Gins is incredible, as well as their tonic water is fantastic. The place is incredibly nicely styled, clean and with lots of space. As I said, we were only in the bar drinking for 3 days, unfortunately we didn't get to eat there, but I could tell the food looked fantastic when we saw it come out. The staff are sweet, friendly, welcoming, nice, funny, stylish, with an incredible personality. Especially Peppi as our bartender who made our evenings the best pleasures of our entire trip in Berlin. Thank you for a wonderful time with you, kind regards David, Niclas, Per & Thomas PS If you do visit them, the staff love to do pranks on Jane the Bar manager, so buy her a strawberry cake and wish her happy birthday she likes it a lot 😉

Absolutely disappointed with The Dry Gin & Beef. Our experience was far from what we expected. To start, our drinks were mixed up, setting a frustrating tone. The wait time between dishes was excruciating, over an hour, which is unacceptable. Worst of all, we found glass in our food, which is not only negligent but dangerous, and there was no attempt at compensation for this serious issue. The only silver lining was the beef, which was admittedly good, and the barkeeper boss, Jane, who did her best to manage the chaos. But one person can't save an overall terrible experience. Definitely not coming back.

Wanted to visit here for such a long time but it turned out to be the most overrated and overpriced place we’ve ever been to for a steak. The quality was disappointing…worst of all, the “medium rare” steak was cold in the center and lacked flavor! Even the location had no particular charm. A total letdown. Worse than that the menu was so confusing that we thought the €73 dish was meant to be shared between two but we were charged €73 per person for a disappointing steak dish. Only the drinks were good… Overall a total disappointment! especially in terms of quality…

God knows what the beef is like. I never got past the gins! Though what I saw being served and carved at tables looked exquisite. It’s fairly non descript, just next to the must-visit Fotografiska gallery on Oranienburg Straße, but, oh my goodness! Walk in and be embraced in the warmth and enthusiasm of the staff, who are as intoxicating as their hundred plus gins. Talk to Boady (?) behind the bar who will lead you to new flavours that will amaze even the most jaded of gin afficionados.

I was staying nearby and made this my regular evening haunt during my five day stay in Berlin. I can’t praise the staff highly enough.

Just go. Eat if you must, happy diners seemed to be relishing the quality of the food, but the winner for me was the welcome. It was like meeting old friends - whom I’d never met before.

Here’s a thing that happened. On my second visit, sitting outside on the small terrace, an old man arrived, sat down, ordered a soft drink, and wandered off….he hadn't paid.

“He’s not a well man” said the waiter. And smiled.

Now don’t follow his example! But compassion? Impressive in a City! Do visit. You’ll also...

The first priority of a chef should be to improve the dish!

-- The two red wines I selected one after the other were not available in the store and should be marked on the menu. -- The appetizer was a dish of flambéed salmon, 20.90 euros, and only three pieces of seaweed salad were used as a base. The price for seaweed salad at GoAsia is, of course, very low. I'm not comparing prices, but the dishes lack creativity. -- My main course was a 350g fillet, medium rare, the crust was too burnt and had a bitter taste. I felt that it had a strange smell, but the waiter denied it. My wife had the same problem with her lady-cut fillet. -- We ordered herb butter and the waiter brought a few slices of extremely hard butter. The waiter said it was butter with carrot juice, but I don't believe it was, I thought it was beef fat. -- After we complained, my steak for 56 euros was removed from the bill. The ambiance is indeed very good, but I will probably not go there again. We are very...
