I went here with high expectations because a restaurant with nearly 2.5K reviews and an average of 4.6 must be great. The result: expectations were fully met! The food is fresh and delicious! I can very recommend the Ananas Curry for main and the High Grass (fresh cane juice, kumquat and lime) as drink. If you think the drink is not yours, don’t worry. They have so many exotic options which I would have liked to try! If you want starters go for the summer rolls with tofu. They even come with mango! Yum! The peanut butter sauce is simply addictive! My friends had also been super happy about their food - especially the Pho Vegan with Seitan and Tofu and the Sweet Potato Fries! Another highlight to mention was their outstanding service which is very rare to find in other places. Even though they had been completely full they made it possible for us to sit outside. On top, the waiter explained us Vietnamese custom and traits for the food - how to use the garnish for the Pho soup and that sticking your chopsticks in the rice upwards means that somebody close to you died. So don’t make the same mistake as I did. Uuuuuups! All in all a wonderful experience which I can fully recommend to anyone looking for authentic and tasty Vietnamese food!

As a Vietnamese, let me tell you how Phở here has authentic northen Vietnamese style: the broth is light and clear, meaning they slow cook the broth for hours instead of using pressure cooking method, the medium-rare beef is diced and marinated with ginger, the dish can be enjoyed with extra youtiao ( Bánh quẩy) and poach egg (trứng trần). Besides the food, the deco feels really homey with the traditional red flower pattern on the chairs, which normally can be found on the winter blanket everywhere in northern Vietnam. The only minus point for me is that there aren't much space, so if you go with a big group it might not be able to fit all. Overally the restaurant has managed to tick all my boxes and at a reasonable price, so I'd say "Well done" 👏👏 I'll defnitely come back here the next time I go to Berlin

If you have a gluten allergy, if you are a celiac AVOID AT ALL COST. I told the waitress my gluten allergy, and she assured me that they can cater me. She was nice. Ordered my “gluten free” food, started feeling off and throwing up in their bathroom after eating it. I then asked the waitress if there was any gluten in it since I was having an allergic reaction. They reassured me I had no gluten in my food whilst I was having an allergic reaction. And there was no contamination. Then I went to my table, my friends asked for the bill so we can go to a pharmacy immediately. The waiter came and asked me if I was okay while I was still having the reaction.. I told them there was gluten in my food. He said they had many customers with gluten intolerances and they were fine. So their food is fine. He said that to me as I had already thrown up the food, I was clearly not well as I could not speak in full sentences. I also tried to tell him tolerances and allergies are different. He then asked me to pay for the “gluten free” food before I can head out to the pharmacy. If you have a gluten allergy, if you are a celiac AVOID AT ALL COST. The food tastes good, aftermath was horrible. Waiters horrible, kitchen won’t care for your gluten allergy, and food is not good enough to risk your health for.

Did someone in your kitchen purposely chop all of the noodles in my Pho? This is the most EVIL thing you could do to somebody 😂😂 it made it impossible to eat with chopsticks. It took me 3 business days to finish this delicious bowl of pho. Why would you make pho that tastes this good but chop the noodles? I’m sure this is a violation of the Geneva convention. This is considered a war crime in Vietnam 😂 Whoever did this, needs to be investigated, because he is clearly deranged! if I took this bowl of Pho across the border, I would be arrested for transporting illegal substances. I gave up on chopsticks and had to eat it with a spoon like a 5 year old. It was the most humbling experience. The spring rolls were absolutely delicious! 5 out of 5 but keep an eye on the guy handling the Pho 👀

I only had beef pho and all the noodles are broken into small pieces (see video). The texture is also bad: soft and mushy. Before I paid I told the waiter that the noodles are broken and it might be overcooked as a kind feedback. He came back to me: the chef has cut the noodles with a scissor because Germans like to eat it with a spoon. The cringe part came: he came with the POS machine and said: the price does not include the tip, can we do this (pointing at 10% button)? I said “no”. He: was there anything off? I: sorry, to be honest, I just didn’t like the noodle. This embarrassed me a little: How could you ask for a tip explicitly after I made an explicit complaint? -.- This is not the quality of food you charge 14 euros for.
