I recently had the pleasure of dining at Upper Burger Grill in Berlin, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or a relaxed evening out.
The star of the show, of course, is the food. The burgers at Upper Burger Grill are simply amazing and delicious. Each bite is a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, with perfectly cooked patties that are juicy and flavorful. The buns are fresh and soft, and the toppings are abundant and thoughtfully chosen to complement each burger.
I tried their signature burger, and it was a revelation. The combination of melted cheese, crispy bacon, and a special house sauce was nothing short of perfection. The sides, particularly the crispy fries and onion rings, were equally impressive and made for a satisfying meal.
In addition to the fantastic food, the service was exceptional. Our, a lovely girl from Ukraine, made the experience even more delightful. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and had a warm, welcoming demeanor that made us feel right at home. Her passion for her work was evident in every interaction, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. Her recommendations were spot on, and she took the time to make sure everything was perfect.

Read moreI’m still thinking about that burger. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience—a moment of pure, savory bliss that I couldn’t resist repeating the very next day. From the first bite, I knew I had found something special. The patty was perfectly seasoned, seared to a crispy, caramelized exterior while keeping its juicy, tender center. The bun? Soft yet slightly toasted on the edges, like it was made to cradle the burger with the perfect balance of fluff and structure. Every ingredient felt so thoughtfully chosen—from the fresh, crisp lettuce and tomatoes to the perfectly melted cheese that oozed with each bite.
I didn’t just enjoy a meal—I savored it. The flavors melded together in a way that made each bite feel like a tiny celebration. It’s rare to find a place where every detail is crafted with care, but this place does it effortlessly. I found myself looking forward to the second visit, and it didn’t disappoint. The second time was just as magical as the first. I’ve eaten at many burger spots, but this one has carved out a little corner of my heart.
I’ll be back again—maybe not tomorrow, but soon. There’s something about this burger that’s hard to shake off. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the simplest things in life—like a perfect burger—are the ones that make everything else seem a little...
Read moreThis is Berlin! I guess, the housing makes it so difficult to rent a decent size place to have more guests for good burgers. We were not expecting anything super duper, but it actually was tasty. We had a good size table, felt bad for those who are dining as couples or two friends, since tables are small. But the service is good, attentive and quick.
We saw lots of burgers going to other tables and they really looked good and mostly fresh and inventive. The charcoal burger buns, the big meat patty, and good attention to detail. I felt like there was a feeling of anticipation of everyone who was dining there. Excited for that burger or ribs.
We didn't get our food quick, which is really good as it's a sign of prepared stale food. Ours was ribs, steak, chicken nuggets, slaw and fries. Everything but the steak was actually delicious. The ribs come with gloves so you don't get your fingers and nails are dirty. Must say with ribs I'd throw in some toothpick as it goes everywhere in your teeth. The steak was supposed to be rib eye and maybe they overcooked it, it was medium, but damn was is chewy. We are blockhouse regulars for years and that was not a rib eye. Nevertheless we enjoyed dinner there. It's a bit crammed for my liking but ok. Definitely try out the gigantic...
