Depends on which side you approach it from and time of day. First time I saw it, it got lost in the busy street with lots of visual competition. A few days later, I was coming from a different angle and a storm was approaching late afternoon. (See photos). Whole new perspective. Came to life. Pity there appears to be no official meaning or significance. Obviously breaking chains/free but not sure from what or why.

A striking piece of public art — the “Berlin” sculpture, with its intertwined yet non-touching steel tubes, powerfully symbolizes the historical division and eventual unity of the city. It stands boldly along Tauentzienstraße, offering a quiet moment of reflection in the urban bustle, and is definitely worth seeking out.

When you get an explanation of this sculpture, you definitely get a different view of it! Berliners call this sculpture “dancing spaghetti” and the four arms made symbolize the occupation sectors of divided Berlin in period of Cold War.
