I’m sorry to write this because the restaurant was pretty packed and people seem to enjoy the food there according to the reviews here. But our dish was not good. We ordered chicken tikka that they claimed to be cooked in a Tandoor Oven, and it came out looking sad and didn’t have the Tandoor Oven taste. The seasoning wasn’t baked enough although the chicken filet itself was nicely cooked. The chicken tikka came with a side sauce that wasn’t Indian at all, it tasted like Marinara sauce that just weirded me out. We also ordered Lamb Vindalloo that supposed to come with potato and lamb but didn’t have potatoes on it. The lamb was kinda overcooked so it tasted livery. The sauce was okay. The greatest disappointment was the Naan Bread that we have to pay extra for it, that wasn’t even a Naan bread. It’s more like a pita bread or maybe they just didn’t make it in house. When you claim to say that it’s baked in a tandoor oven, you expect the good naan bread. I somehow think that they lied about having a tandoor oven. I must say the staffs were great and accommodating given the limited seating, I gave them a star for this. To wrap it up, the food wasn’t authentic but it wasn’t indedible so that’s another star. If you want the authentic Indian food, just don’t go here. You would be fairly disappointed like us. I...
Read moreI started coming here after my favorite Indian place, Taj Mahal in Trier/Bernkastel, started going downhill in quality. The atmosphere is more casual but the food and service are really good.
The curries are excellent, the service is great and they speak good English if you need to, there is parking on site, card is accepted and prices are very good as well. I usually get the chicken khorma, tikka masala or butter chicken. I'd recommended any of the curries. I haven't gotten around to trying the biryani or tandoor dishes yet. All of their naans are very good as well with my favorite being cheese naan or Keema lamb naan. I'd also highly recommend trying their homemade spicy sauce on the side. Taste like an Indian salsa more than a traditional chutney or dipping sauce but it's absolutely delicious. They have plenty of traditional vegetarian options as well. The Indian chai tea is also very good, although I don't think it's advertised...
Read moreOne of our favorite restaurants! Our family comes here at least 2/3x a month and we are always extremely satisfied with everything we order! It’s a family owned business and the family is very friendly and their kiddos always end up playing with ours each time we visit which is always very nice. The restaurant is always clean, the food is always fresh and hot and the portions are big enough to always bring home leftovers and prices are very reasonable.
Some of our favorites are butter chicken, jinga pakora, mango lassi, fish jelfrezi, lamb and chicken curry and you have to get garlic and cheese naan to eat with everything!
They also have an awesome lunch buffet every day that’s all you can eat that has several main dish variety’s with some appetizer's and...
