Pizza — Restaurant in Bochum

FOOD & DRINKS What else would you get at a place that calls itself Pizza? Pizza of course! For a good high quality pizza this is the place to go! The selection is limited but that is fair if you want to put your focus on a few quality ingredients instead of cheap stuff from the supermarket. I ordered the pizza 'Papa'. The dough of the thin crust pizza was chewy and soft with a little bit of crunch towards the crust. The spicy salami was very mild for me but you could taste the chili. The tomato sauce was sweet and fresh.

SERVICE The owner is a bit grumpy and the whole team doesn't really seem like they open their heart and welcome you to their home like you sometimes have with Italian restaurants.

ATMOSPHERE The place is tiny. Best time to come here is on a sunny day. Sit outside, enjoy the weather and an authentic hot fresh pizza!

This is a good Pizza place 🍕. Margarita Pizza is really tasty. Very light dough. Ingredients are the real deal. Original Italian pizza 🧀 cheese. Only one small downside... Somehow girls working there are always in some bad mood. Not an arrogant mood. They don't like to talk much or smile or anything. Even when they say thanks. That thanks sounds more like... Ok... Next one. They should be a little more grateful for customers coming there. Other than that...

Freitags, 19:50 Uhr, drei Pizzen zur Lieferung bestellt. Eine Stunde später sollten sie kommen. Zwei Stunden später waren sie leider immer noch nicht da und auch niemand telefonisch erreichbar; das Geschäft hatte nämlich schon Feierabend. Drei Stunden später und keine Pizzen in Sicht. Letztlich wurden sie (kommentarlos) gar nicht geliefert. Ich aber leider Geld für drei Pizzen los. Diese Liefererfahrung entspricht meiner vor Ort. Nicht, dass ich bei der Bestellung im Geschäft keine Pizzen erhalten hätte. Aber dass Service wohl nicht zum Essen gehört. Ich habe in den vergangenen Jahren die Pizzabäckerin noch kein einziges Mal freundlich erlebt. Oder dass sie sich für Trinkgeld bedankt. Daran kann auch das tolle hipster interior nichts ändern. Diese Feststellung deckt sich leider insoweit auch mit den übrigen negativen Rezensionen hier. „Na ja… was soll’s?“ dachte ich mir immer, da das Essen nicht schlecht schmeckt. Im Gegenteil, wenn man nur deutsche Imbiss-Pizzen kennt. Dann denkt man womöglich sogar, dass das hier die Neuentdeckung der Pizza ist. Tatsächlich ist es auch eine solide neapolitanische Pizza, mit frischen Zutaten belegt, die man leider in Bochum-Mitte bei keiner (Liefer-)Pizzeria bekommt. Vielleicht trete ich hierfür aber einfach demnächst mal den Weg nach Essen oder Dortmund zu einschlägigen Ketten an. Das Essen dort ist jedenfalls...
