I haven't ever experienced such a bad service in a resraurant. I and my friends have been calling the phone number and the mobile as well for hours to arrange a reservation and nobody picked up. Ok, we met there, entered. Nobody approached us. We went to the cooking ladies to ask if there is a table for us. They weren't willing to assist and handled us unprofessionally through obvious ignoration. We went out, but decided to give it a second chance. We decided to ask if we could reserve a table for later as there were people sitting for a while there and we would have a drink during we wait in the bar at the opposite side of the street (10 meters away) and could often check the situation. The cooking ladies said to my friend they cannot help and cannot reserve and we should call the phone in an hour nobody has been picking up all day. They cannot keep anything for us. I have been working in gastronomy and that isn't the good service you should offer. I wouldn't give it a third try.
P.S. thanks for the response of the owner! Obviously he didn't understand that we have been ignored by the waiters stuff and thats why approached whoever there was and more than kindly asked for help. Calling the phone for more than 3 hours is patient enough. And if you are unable to pick up the phone then remove it or find another way for handling reservations. And when people come in 2 times and say they will are willing to wait and all they get back is a bad mood - I think it is against another nice Dalai Lama's quote : "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." And "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others". Love...
Read moreMy friend and I were craving for Tibetan Momo and thukpa for last few weeks.
On friends recommendation, we came to the restaurant. The lady owner and the two guys serving in the restaurant were very welcoming. The restaurant has a beautiful ambience of Tibetan decor and feel with Tibetan music. The art frames and the Tibetan objects and decor, felt very warm and calming. We had our Tibetan butter tea to start with as it was quite cold outside. The butter tea was delicious and rich. The accompaniment they gave with butter tea, Tibetan bread (woeshang baklep) tasted really good, it’s spongy and fresh! Beef momo was delicious and has the perfect Tibetan taste, just the way I like it :) we had beef thenthuk as well, it was flavourful and rich with vegetable. We thoroughly enjoyed our short sweet time and had good conversation with the lady owner, who has been running Tibetan restaurant for last 13 years. Our Bonn short day trip with the Tibetan food and short walk to the Beethoven house made a perfect...
Read moreWe went here for a Sunday evening meal. The place was very busy. We ordered a starter and two mains. My partner's meal was nice but mine was really bad. We kept waiting for the waiter to come so that we could request a different meal but they were so busy. We tried to grab their attention to no avail. The soup I had ordered tasted of just chicken stock with a few vegetables thrown in. I did not eat it at all. Fed up with waiting we decided to just ask for the bill explaining that I had not eaten my meal. Nevertheless he proceeded to charge us for it by saying "anyone could say this to get away with not paying " . Yeh, right , I am sure people go out their way to book a table, turn up, order food, not eat what they ordered and complain.
In the end we paid the full sum and...
