WARNING - do not book a room for any more than 2 people at this hotel. We arrived at this hotel as a family of 5, very tired from an overnight crossing from England. We had booked a room for 2 and a room for 3. You would think wouldn't you that if you had booked a room for 3 people (2 adults and a 10 year old) that you would get 3 beds to sleep in. WRONG! Once we got to our rooms and realised both only slept 2 we went back to Reception to alert them to the mistake. Only to be told that there were no other larger rooms in the hotel with more beds. All of them only slept 2. Apparently, it is company policy to only offer rooms for 2 but to allow customers to book for more than 2 capacity! How utterly ridiculous. This was not made clear at all on the website when booking. Plenty of other chain hotels manage to offer family rooms. There was nothing else the gentleman on Reception could do and having looked into booking another room I decided I didn't want to give Radisson any more of my money if they had such stupid policies. So.my husband, daughter and I had a very cramped night together on a double bed and another poor night's sleep. We had to ask for extra pillows and towels. It's a shame as the hotel itself is nice, good location, very clean with modern quirky decor. To be fair to the man on Reception, he was very sympathetic but ultimately powerless. And he was incredibly busy single handedly holding the fort, with queues of 10 mins or so each time we waited to try and sort things out. I will.certainly not be booking with Radisson again and would suggest they make the room capacity much clearer online or prevent people from being able to book for more...
Read moreThe hotel is in a great location, close to the river with a beautiful walking path, and within walking distance of downtown. Unfortunately, that’s the only positive aspect of my experience.
I booked the hotel through Expedia and arrived late, only to find that my reservation had been canceled without any notification. I had to rebook and pay again for the entire stay. Although Expedia later made an exception and reimbursed the first payment, the hotel refused to address the issue — essentially charging me twice for the same stay.
The room was not cleaned properly and was only serviced once during my six-night stay. There was usually only one person at the reception, resulting in long wait times — often between 60 to 90 minutes just to speak with someone. Some staff members were rude; one even harassed me simply for standing near a piece of artwork while I was waiting to resolve an issue.
Overall, it was a terrible experience. I typically stay in budget hotels and have never encountered anything like this before. I would not...
Read moreThis hotel is more like a hostile. No water in the rooms or glasses for tap water. Had to ask for a glass at the front desk. And had to line up to ask for a glass. No safe to securely store, passports or laptops.. No iron. No fridge. No coffee in the room. They only clean your room once every three days. I paid extra for an upgrade for a view of the river to find myself on the first floor above the restaurant/bar where I could hear people talking as they stood outside, smoking all night. If I wanted fresh air in my room, I would open the window to smell smoked meat or cogarettes. I asked for a room change and the staff was extremely rude. Not helpful whatsoever. I will never be staying at Radisson again. It seems like they’re doing everything possible to cut costs of doing business. And the hotel decor is horrible. The hallway carpets haven’t been cleaned in ages I suspect. The rooms were however clean. Location was good with a 15 minute walk to the old...
