Doboo is a real Asian fusion restaurant, which serves Korean food along with Sushi. I have been a regular visitor to this place. Location: The place is located near Ollenhauerstr station and can be reached very easily from Bonn city center within 10 minutes. It is very easy to find it. Also, the place is wheelchair accessible and kid-friendly. Ambiance: The ambiance of the place is the bright, light and cozy atmosphere with big pictures from old and new Korea. It is very clean and tidy. The restaurant's atmosphere is sophisticated but, at the same time, almost homey, making Doboo a very pleasant dining experience. When you enter, you are greeted by the service staff and they help you to get a table. There is an open kitchen where you can see the way cooks are preparing food, all handmade and appetizing. Menu: The menu has several appetizers, main course, and sushi. Along with that, the drink menu consists of various beers (Korean, Japanese and German), wine, soft drinks, and Sake(Japanese rice wine, which is a must try). Also, they have quite a good selection of hot teas (Ginger, Lemon, Plum). Prices, too, are reasonable for the quality. Service: There are 2-3 people in service all the time and sometimes you can spot the owner as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Always going an extra mile to fulfill your wishes. Also, you can always speak with the cooks from the kitchen to know more about the food and your wishes. The owner is very kind, welcoming and always has a smile on her face. Seating: Doboo offers seating places inside as well as few places outside. It's better to always book a table in the evening. My Experience: I visited quite a few times with my girlfriend. The first time, we ordered Kimali, Mix Mandu, and Chapche for the starters. And how can you forget to order Kimchi at a Korean place? The dishes were served fast and hot. They were all very really delicious. Kimchi was fresh, tasty and made in-house. For the main course, we ordered Avo-Lachs Sushi, Tofu Bibimbap and Rind Bulgogi. The Sushi was fresh and flavorful. Bibimbap: served with six different veggies, rice, tofu, and a sunnyside-up egg, a complete meal and delicious, the hot red sauce served with bibimbap is to die for. The bulgogi is marinated beef with several distinct flavors of saltiness, sourness and a bit sweet, overall satisfying your taste buds and your tummy. We also ordered honey-lemon and ginger tea, super delicious. We also visited quite a few other times and have tried almost all of Doboo's menu. Every time, we had a pleasant experience with food of the most exquisite flavors. Doboo is highly...
Read moreReally good Korean food at reasonable prices. Thoroughly enjoyed their Bibimbap Jeyuk (rice with various vegetables and pork) and they also do a very good Bulgogi Beef. They serve two types of beer, the Asahi from Japan and a Weizen. Red and white wine, and also non alcoholic beer is available. They have a good selection of teas and organic lemonades too. Highly recommend the Bibimbap and Bulgogi dishes. The Ramyun noodles are hearty and comforting now that winter is approaching. Don't miss the sushi - they have a good selection of Nigiri such as salmon, tuna, eel and shrimp and also maki and rolls. Check out the dumplings - mandu which come on their own, in noodles or with their bento boxes. Really glad that Doboo has made its debut - the staff are friendly and efficient which...
Read moreWe went for lunch yesterday, and it was a bit chaotic. We ordered 3 bibimbap (2 jeyuk and 1 chicken), but we received the wrong order with 2 Jeyuk bulgogi instead of bibimbap. I told them it's a wrong order so they brought new food. But then we had to pay for bulgogi price, which was 2 euros more than bibimbap. It was their fault and my colleague and I had to pay 2euros each more. It was unpleasant. We had to come back to the office since we were already late, but we are not sure if we want that chaos for our lunchtime again. Workers there were nice and kind but unorganized.
Foodwise, taste was good. It was a bit weird to have rotkohl in bibimbap since it had a strong taste. But in general,...
