Due Fratelli — Restaurant in Bremen

We went here a few weeks ago, and the entire experience was very bad. The food was okay, but not my better than many much less expensive Italian restaurants around Bremen. The service was truly appalling though, starting with an attempt to force us to purchase the most expensive bottle of water they have by placing it on our table and opening it as we sat down without even asking us. Throughout the dinner they brought bizzare "pairings" well after each course was served, including a truly awful combination of a cosmopolitan with fish. In the end it was an extremely expensive meal, with service worse than about any restaurant I have been to, for food that was only okay. In just about every way, they need to learn how to run a real fine restaurant if they want to charge fine dining prices. The food is good but not exceptional. We got pasta and it was a bit overcooked. Tagliatelle with truffle was good, carbonara not the best. The atmosphere is the real plus of the restaurant, since it's very nice and curated.

On the other hand, the service was not really on point, as it was difficult to get a waiter's attention.

Overall, it's worth it if you get a - 50% discount with The Fork. We also got a discount on drinks, which was nice, but when we asked for water they gave the expensive one at 9 euros... All in all we paid €30 in two for two pasta dishes, two glasses of wine and for the water.

It’s a very touristic place due to its location right in the main square. The atmosphere in that evening was nice.

The food there is rather international: we took ravioli with goat cheese, spaghetti bolognese, salads and a snack plate for 2. Food was good, pasta was well cooked, ingredients seemed to be fresh. Portions were big.

The place is clearly overpriced vs Bremen standard, so’d not go there without the discount, unless lunch offer is available. Probably this is because of the high costs due to their location but I am not sure about that.
