Das Meyers — Restaurant in Cochem

I typically refrain from posting reviews, but I feel compelled to share our recent dining experience. We visited the restaurant during a relatively busy period, so we were prepared for some service delays. However, we found ourselves waiting for over 30 minutes, with only two interactions from the staff: one for taking our order and another for presenting the check. While the food was satisfactory, the service fell short of our expectations.

After our meal, we explored the offerings of Cochem and passed by the restaurant on our way back to our car. At that moment, one of our party needed to use the restroom, only to discover that all restrooms were closed. We politely requested access to their restroom, and to our surprise, they insisted on a €5 fee, despite our recent expenditure of €150 just over an hour ago.

It wasn’t until we stood in front of their restaurant, getting looks from other customers just for them to give in, and let us use their restroom.

I chose this restaurant because it was on our way, without checking the Google reviews which I always do. I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel which was cooked perfectly. The size isn't the same as in Vienna , it's half, but at least the taste was authentic. I think is to expensive, almost 34 euro. For dessert, I chose strudel. That was also very good, you could reduce the cream and add one more scoop of ice cream. Everyone ate well. This is My First Visit in Cochem but not in Germany.we went in a group of Family for having lunch. Pros:- 1.Location 2.Availablity of Seat. Cons:- 1.Waitress and also waiter behaviour and expression as if you are a trespasser..To me looked Typical Racist attitude. 2.Quality of Food is also below average.They over fried the Schnitzel that too weiner . Pork steak is also below par and the chicken breast pasta also. 3.with reapect to food and drinks prices are expensive.
