Akropolis — Restaurant in Cochem

While spending a week in Cochem, I was looking to mix things up one evening and decided to try Akropolis, a Greek restaurant with decent reviews. Unfortunately, it turned out to be just an average experience—nothing terrible, but certainly nothing to write home about.

I started with the calamari, which was clearly the cheap, frozen kind you’d expect from a supermarket bag. It was bland and uninspired. For the main, I had the chicken kebab plate. It seemed reasonably fresh, but the flavor was lacking. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t particularly good either—it simply met the basic need for food.

We had a wonderful experience at Akropolis in Cochem! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The service was very friendly and impressively quick, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself is a bit small inside, so it’s a good idea to book a table in advance. The menu is quite extensive, offering something for everyone: from authentic Greek specialties to more familiar, classic dishes.

Que dire, ce restaurant proposant de succulents plats grecs est un vrai joyau à Cochem. Je suis venu seul le 07.07.2025 et le 10.07.2025. Pour moi qui suis amateur de la gastronomie grecque, je peux dire que la qualité du service et des plats est exceptionnelle, sans mentionner la quantité tout simplement gargantuesque. J'ai eu du mal à terminer mon plat, mais c'était excellent, tellement excellent que j'y suis retourné une deuxième fois lors de mon séjour de 3 jours à Cochem, c'est dire à quel point c'est bon. Je n'ai pas encore mentionné les prix? Ils sont tout à fait honnêtes. C'est un excellent rapport qualité-prix très rare de nos jours par rapport à ce que l'on reçoit dans l'assiette. Par exemple, ils proposent une sélection de plats seulement le midi à des prix imbattables. J'ai personnellement pris le plat de Gyros avec frites et salade accompagné d'une bière "Mythos". Délectable et pas cher! Je pense qu'il s'agit sans orgueil du meilleur restaurant de Cochem. Si d'aventures je suis de passage dans la région, je reviendrai sans hésiter pour avoir le plaisir de déguster à nouveau vos délicieuses spécialités!

🇩🇪 Was soll ich sagen – dieses Restaurant mit seinen köstlichen griechischen Gerichten ist ein wahres Juwel in Cochem. Ich war allein am 07.07.2025 und am 10.07.2025 dort. Als Liebhaber der griechischen Küche kann ich sagen, dass die Qualität des Services und der Speisen außergewöhnlich ist – ganz zu schweigen von den wirklich gigantischen Portionen. Ich hatte Mühe, meinen Teller leer zu essen, aber es war ausgezeichnet – so ausgezeichnet, dass ich während meines dreitägigen Aufenthalts in Cochem ein zweites Mal zurückgekommen bin. Das sagt alles über die Qualität!

Habe ich schon die Preise erwähnt? Sie sind absolut fair. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hervorragend und heutzutage selten in Anbetracht dessen, was man auf dem Teller bekommt. Zum Beispiel bieten sie mittags eine Auswahl an Gerichten zu unschlagbaren Preisen an. Ich persönlich hatte Gyros mit Pommes und Salat, dazu ein „Mythos“-Bier. Köstlich und preiswert!

Ich denke ganz ohne Übertreibung, dass es das beste Restaurant in Cochem ist. Sollte ich jemals wieder in der Region sein, werde ich ohne zu zögern zurückkehren, um erneut diese wunderbaren Spezialitäten...
