A place in cologne from where you can see most of the famous locations and attractions in the city... 28 floor building consists of 2 lifts out of which one was not working when I went... It takes hardly 30 seconds to reach on the top floor and few minutes in the queue as well... But if you are going for the first time it's a much visit place... Specially when you are with a group of 5 or more you will get 50 cents off per head... after reaching at the top you can look through every glass and search for the building marked on the glass...its like a game as well... I enjoyed that part. Also you can click some awesome pics with cathedral and bridge... Only thing I disliked was that when sun is not out foggy glasses makes this experience less attractive and we might start thinking that it was waste of time and money... maybe some sort of system to remove fogg from the glasses might help

If you love cityscapes and skylines (and especially how they look at night) and you happen to be at Cologne, then you must visit the Cologne Triangle for the best views of the cityscape. The viewing deck of the Triangle makes full use of a fiberglass-like material to provide an unobstructed view of the city while keeping everyone (and their things) safely inside. Walk around the deck and you'll see guides showing you where you could view the various landmarks of the city. Close to the Triangle is a hotel and a couple of restaurants where one can dine with a view of the river and the cathedral. You can come to these spots before or after going to the Triangle to maximize your experience of the area.

Köln Trinagle is a must visit place. Its not free for the 28 storied egale view. Adults have to pay 3 Euros to get in. And they don't charge for cameras. To get into the building, make sure that you reach there before 8 in the evening. Pricing is done. Now regarding the experience. The view of the sunset is really mesmerizing. View of the Rhine river is really good. All the important landmarks are indicated on the glass protectors, so its easy for foreigners. It would have been better, if they had a telescope stations. But still Its worth for money. I would suggest photographer to carry telescope lenses for amazing photos.

Cologne Cathedral’s World Heritage status means that no buildings are allowed to interfere with the city’s skyline too much. For this reason the KölnTriangle skyscraper was kept to just over 100 metres. On the right bank of the Rhine its panoramic observation deck affords a photogenic view of the old town, the cathedral towers and the 266-metre Colonius telecom tower behind it. Useful descriptions are provided for all the landmarks you can spot from this height. The platform is open until 23:00, so it’s the best place to see the sun go down behind the cathedral.

For 5 eur a person the views are I think worth it. You get the quintessential view overlooking the bridge, river and Dom, along with views of the whole city. It's fun to get a good layout of where things are. That being said, you can get quite a good view just from across the bridge without going up. Currently due to covid only 50 people can be inside at one time, so be prepared to wait. Furthermore, its only open from Friday to Sunday, starting at 12. Also, don't go in the rain, there is no roof. There is a bathroom at the top. Dogs not welcome.
