Ristorante Zucchini — Restaurant in Cologne

This restaurant to say the least, they seemed very friendly, but when it comes to actual service it lacks of service or should I say service to black costumers. It all went well to the costumer in front of me, and neighbours but starting with the basic action of turning a candle one ; It was needed for my partner to say so because I was a clear wall. Next up, the antipasti, the waiter was capable of taking all the plates, but incapable of removing my plate or come back for it. He never came back actually. Not to mention asking for things and needed for a white person to repeat the same to actually get across. Then at the checkout I was paying and for some reason I was white enough to pay I guess, so even though I had the card on my hand I guess the waiter missed that crucial information and forward the machine card to the white individual my partner in front of me. When I adress her with « I am clearly paying » she responded with « ah yes I didn’t see that » ?!? I was holding the card. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone of colour or any ally...

Es gibt zum Mittagsangebot jede Pizza oder Pasta für 8€, und, was ich sehr gut finde, auch Getränke sind mittags halbwegs günstig, 1,50€ für 0,2 Liter ist für ein Restaurant noch human. Abends gibt es stattdessen drei Pizzen zum Preis von zwei. Als Einzelgast bekam ich beim Essen vor Ort zwei gratis Pizza Brötchen von der freundlichen Bedienung, dazu ganze drei gratis Dipps: Scharfes Chili oder sowas, passable Kräuterbutter und so ein Öl mit Kräutern drin. Die Dipps haben gereicht um nach den Brötchen auch noch die Pizza Randstücke drin zu dippen, zumindest für mich als Einzelgast. Als gratis Dreingabe hervorragend! Ich hatte Pizza Quattro Formaggi. Stand nicht auf der Karte, bekam ich aber trotzdem. Generell sollte man die Karte mal überarbeiten, es nervt Vegetarier wie mich, dass man nicht auf den ersten Blick sieht, was vegetarisch oder vegan ist. Die Pizza selbst war gut, ich kenne allerdings eine andere Pizzeria hier in Köln Mülheim, die ordentlich Oregano auf die Quattro Formaggi macht, und nach dem Backen so Parmesan Splitter/Scheibchen drauf tut, was beides sehr köstlich ist. Im Vergleich wirkt die Pizza hier im Zucchini Restaurant etwas farblos, aber das ist ausdrücklich Meckern auf hohem Niveau! Und die anderen Sachen habe ich ja nicht probiert. Service, Atmosphäre, Preise, alles fünf Sterne, zumindest die Angebotspreise, aber als von einer absolut exzellenten Pizza woanders, die aber auch drei Euro mehr kostet, verwöhnter Kunde konnte ich mit der Pizza hier nicht so hundertprozentig warm werden. Da kann ich aber auch nur für die Quattro Formaggi sprechen. Mein Tipp: Geht mal zur Angebotszeit hin und probiert euer Lieblingsessen. Die Chancen stehen gut dass euch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und das drum herum überzeugen. Und den Geschmack kann ich wie gesagt nur bei der Pizza Quattro Formaggi beurteilen, und das bei sehr...

I came in here with high expectations but ended up being disappointed. It started greatly, as the antipasti offered by the house were simply amazing. However, my pizza was incredibly thin and bland, flavorless. Honestly, it looked better in the other Pictures on Google maps. Luckily, the scampi were very good, especially the sauce, but we expected them to serve them ready to eat, and not with the shell.
