Sweet Laddu — Restaurant in Cologne

This is the best Indian restaurant in Köln. Located a bit away from the bustle of a shopping area and maybe hence not that known. We visited the place yesterday and the place is aesthetically very appealing. Even the restroom was very clean. Lets talk about what really matters now.. The Food! We were a large group of 20 and had pre-booked. We got a call back from the Restaurant to check if there were any special requests. On checking with the group, we requested for some labour intensive food to be cooked as it was made in India. They honored our request and the food was absolutely brilliant. We ordered alacarte as well and that did not disappoint us as well. Authentic Indian food, like it is made in India. We have always had tummy problems after visiting some popular Indian restaurants earlier, but with Sweet India we did not have any such issues. We had ordered through Lieferando many times and based on our experience, we planned this visit with friends and family (kids included) and everyone in the group had only positive things to say. We saw a lot of locals come in and return because the restaurant was full.. this says they are popular. Because our group was large they had stopped Lieferando deliveries so that their customers dont get affected with any delays and we truly appreciate the hospitality that they showed. To keep this review honest, we do want to mention that because we were a large group and because the restaurant was full, the service was a bit slow.. but would I visit this place again or plan a large get together here, Absolutely! I have been twice here till now and I will be happy to come again and again to try the whole menu! Food is very tasty and light, from the bread antipasti to vegetarian and meat dishes (I took paneer in two different sauces, lamm tikka and aloo paratha). The service is very nice to adjust spicyness to your taste (which not all indian restaurants do!) and you feel welcomed. I had a great experience both time and I can only recommend...

Nice taste when compared to other so called indian restaurants. The extra hot Onion Bhajji was really awesome. Cant complain about Biryani too. After all just be sure that dont curse anyone in Tamil because the guy speaks tamil too ;)

Tbh I have become fan of their chilly chutney!!
