Sweet Sushi Köln Südstadt — Restaurant in Cologne

It was awesome. I totally 🤦🏻‍♀️ forgot to take pics but I will definitely do next time. 😌 For me as a female the dish was enough. But a male - I'm afraid - will not be satisfied. My daughter ordered the same dish twice, and she ate everything. One of my female friends ordered two different dishes at the same time. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and the prices are fine BUT one thing I thought it could have been a bit different... the rice comes not in a bowl but as a ball instead. Unfortunately the rice ball is NOT enough. It could be a little bigger though. However, that place is great and we will definitely be visiting again.

One more thing: the parking situation is terrible there. And for someone who doesn't know his way through Cologne it's even worse. There are just a few parking places around (on the street) and if you're lucky to get one you have to pay 1 € -- for 15 mins. 8 € for 2 hours - you have to think if it's worth it, to get there by car. (We paid 10 € !!! 🤦🏻‍♀️)... and the time...

Went out for a nice meal with friends. Drinks arrived in a timely manor. Ordering food is where trouble started... i asked twice for all of our starters and mains to come all at the same time. Was told yes twice. My starter came quickly and the others followed shortly after. Then my main showed up and nothing more. I sat and waited to enjoy a nice meal with friends. After 20 minutes my two friends still hadnt had the rest of thier food so asked where it was and was told only i wanted my food at the start. I had to eat my food which was cold by then. After i had finished my two friends still didnt have thier food. 30 minutes after i had my main one other meal arrived followed by the other main another 20 minutes later. Was a painful and expensive evening for what i would say is the worst customer service i have seen. I will never go back as we did not even get an apology. It wrecked our night which we were looking forward to. Thanks for nothing team...

Meine Kollegen und ich freuen uns sehr über den Sweet Sushi Ableger in der Südstadt. Ich war zwar noch nie Abends hier, aber dafür um so häufiger beim Mittagstisch. Da ich schon zahlreiche Gerichte probiert habe (fast allen Gerichte der Mittagskarte, also Suppe, Sashimi, Basic Sushi Platte, Tofu Curry, Teriyaki Lachs oder Yakitori Spieße, bis zu Algennudeln, Gyoza, Sushirollen und Sommerrollen "à la Carte") kann ich nur bestätigen, dass alles Speisen ob war ob kalt sehr lecker sind. Ich bin absoluter Sushi Fan, aber es gehen mittlerweile auch Kollegen mit, die kein Sushi essen, weil die warmen Gericht offensichtlich auch überzeugend sind und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für ein Sushi Restaurant einfach super ist. Für 7,50 Euro bekommt man einen wunderbaren Mix an Yakitori Spießen auf Salat und sogar noch ein kleines Süppchen vorne weg. Und ja, davon wird man auch satt, ohne übervoll zu sein. Sich Mittags den Bauch komplett voll zu stopfen führt ja bei Bürojobs allgemein eher zu einem noch größerem Mittagstief. Wer nur eine Kleinigkeit essen möchte, kommt auch gut mit 2 frischen Sommerrollen für 3,50 -4,00 Euro zurecht. Ein angenehmes Mittelmaß bieten die Sushiplatten auf der Mittagskarte für 7,50 - 11,00 Euro und wenn man doch viel vor hat, dann sollte man mit einem Curry Gericht oder Ente für 7,50 - 9,50 Euro glücklich werden. Meistens gibt es auch noch ein paar knusprige "Geschenke" und die machen besonders glücklich. Rechnet man diese preislich noch mit ein, dann ist dieser Sushi Mittagstisch mehr als unschlagbar und kann mit den türkischen, italienischen und spanischen Mittagstischen in der Südstadt ohne weiteres mithalten. Am Ende bleibt noch zu erwähnen, dass das Personal und die Köche immer nett und freundlich sind und die Qualität des Fisches sehr gut ist. Das Ambiente ist modern und schlicht gehalten. Da der Laden sehr tief ist, ist es an den hinteren Tischen etwas dunkler. Mittlerweile wird es mittags an manchen Tagen sehr voll, so dass man fast darüber nachdenken kann einen Tisch zu reservieren, aber manchmal, wenn man früh oder spät dran ist, dann hat man auch Glück und es gibt genügend freie Plätze, allerdings auf Samthockern ohne Lehne. Mich stört es nicht, aber es soll nicht unerwähnt bleiben. Natürlich kann man sonst auch bestellen und abholen. Für meine Kollegen und ich ist Sweet Sushi mittlerweile ein Stammlokal geworden und wir gehen 1-2, manchmal sogar 3 mal die Woche dort essen und das wird vermutlich auch...
