Taqueria Especial — Restaurant in Cologne

Purely as a bar, this may be fun for a quick drink (Magherita 6 EUR but rather small). Food is below average. Its not authentic Mexican and it is ALL microwaved (3 x 1500 Watt Microwave in the open kitchen, running and beeping non-stop) We ordered Tacos for 12 EUR and what we received looked like a creative Nachos plate. It had no resemblence of Mexican Tacos. On top, our plate was missing some key ingredients: Sour cream, Lime, Fresh Onion, Cilantro, Guacamole, Hot Sauce and so on (my gf believes to have spotted some). What we received were not Tacos, not even close. Im surprised guests are willing to pay for microwaved food. This is not Mexican food at all. Most authentic mexican in the city! Small bar but with a huge selection of Tequila and other mexican cervezas. The food is always delicious and fresh. My recommendation: nachos perfectos. I eat it every time I go there and never get tired of it, it's probably my favorite meal EVER.
