Fährgarten Johannstadt — Restaurant in Dresden

Great sitting at the river with delicious (mostly traditional) food, a grill (if there are enough guests around) and a wide choice of beverages (almost 10 different kinds of beers from the tap alone). It's self-service, but the empty plates and dishes are collected and the staff is very friendly. Prices are perfectly reasonable, so if you are in the mood for sitting on a patio, then this is one of the best options around here!

This is the closest beer garden to us and we love to frequent it. I would give their Thüringer sausage with a side of sweet potato fries a try! Their portions are generous and the core staff also speak English, which is a plus for us. Can have a good evening with a group in the evening with a good elbe river view. There is a backyard where you can play some games also but you must take the stuff to play. Ambience is not that great . I felt there must be a good alignment of lights for a good ambience at night. The newly introduced cocktail is a good try.
