Irodion Pallas — Restaurant in Dresden

A very typical Greek/Western type of restaurant, there is a buffet you can gain access to by purchasing certain meals or combos from the menu,

Speaking about the menu, there are about 15 pages to choose from the variety of dishes is pretty large, although from my experience it is also usually a bad thing but to my surprise the dish I ordered was decent.

The main down side I can mention is that the staff, at least at the day me and my colleagues visited the establishment, didn't know how to speak English to the point we had to communicate by pointing fingers at things and just to emphasize the issue, the menus are in German, so naturally you want to ask the help of the waiters which as already mention cannot speak of what seemed like even understand English. Keep that in mind if you are a foeginer who doesn't speak German before...

Wir waren Freitag abends hier zu Gast. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, sprich alle Tische waren belegt. Es gab vor und nach dem Essen einen Schnaps, richtig gut! Vielen Dank.

Die Bedienung war zuvorkommend, freundlich und sehr engagiert. Top!

Das Essen kam super schnell, d.h. wir waren gerade zurück vom Salatbuffet.

Es sah alles wie auf der Speisekarte aus, wo übrigens jedes Gericht bebildert ist, was auch für Kinder super praktisch ist!

Das Essen an sich ist jetzt leider Geschmackssache, dass sieht ja jeder anders. Mir war das Gyros zu fettig und knorpelig und es hätte gerne noch ein paar Runden am Grill drehen dürfen. Reis esse ich für mein Leben gern, hier habe ich es zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben nicht aufessen mögen... Das Gyros übrigens aber auch nicht.

Das Souflaki fand ich okay. Der Tzaziki schmeckte gut.

Insgesamt bin ich sehr satt aus dem Restaurant gegangen.

Ich mekel nicht gerne, aber was mich persönlich so richtig stört ist, dass wenn ich esse und der Tisch direkt neben mir mit einer Sprühflasche gereinigt wird. Der Nebeldunst verteilt sich leider unnötig weit und ggf. auch auf ein Essen. Dazu lag der Geruch noch Minutenlang und sehr penetrant in der Luft, da habe ich dann freiwillig erst mal Pause gemacht und bin zur Toilette. Hier stank es leider noch mehr nach Reiniger, wenn man dann schon sehr satt ist, kommt das nicht...

Ambiance is good with lighting and all. The people also are very nice. Coming to the food part it was just okay. Not that magnificent. I tried maincourse meal 60 and it was just average meal and I found it difficult to complete it. But the chicken soup served as starter was awesome and the dessert too was delicious.
