Copenhagen Coffee Lab - Luegallee — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

It's a great little coffeeshop with very good coffee, excellent bakery, friendly staff and fast wifi. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is marred by people smoking outside, at the tables and the train stop. The door is open most of the time, and all that cigarette smoke just fills the main sitting area and ruins the taste of the otherwise excellent coffee and air quality. A simple automatic door closing mechanism would fix this situation, as customers unable to keep door closed. Understaffed and overpriced. When I arrived, there was only one barista working in this relatively large and busy place, which meant long queues, inattentive service, and a lack of clean glasses for water. The biggest issue was that the coffee was very poorly prepared, the cappuccino's foam was disintegrating as soon as it was handed to me. Seeing the equipment they have and the prices they charge, I was expecting much more. The croissant sandwich I had was good, but not great. Großzüge Räumlichkeit mit nicht zu eng stehenden Tischen. Modern und minimalistisch eingerichtet. Eine große Auswahl an Gebäck, Teilchen, Salaten und Brote. Eine eher kleinere Auswahl an Heißgetränken und sehr kleine Auswahl von Kaltgetränken (oder ich habe etwas übersehen), aber ausreichend. Das Gebäck wird auf Schiefertafeln gereicht. Nette Idee, allerdings bei den eher kleinen Tischen und dem deutlichen Gewicht der Tellergroßen Tafeln unpraktisch. Dazu Selbstbedienung. Selbstbedienung Ansicht finde ich okay, allerdings passen da vor Ort Preis und Leistung nicht zusammen. Die jungen Mädchen hinter dem Tresen waren sehr freundlich und haben uns netterweise den Kaffee an den Tisch gebracht weil dieser eine Weile brauchte. Darüber lässt sich nun streiten - der Laden war recht leer, aber ich trinke gern einen in Ruhe und vernünftig gemachten Milchkaffee, der darf auch ein paar Minuten brauchen. Alles in allem kann ich dem Laden leider keine Empfehlung aussprechen weil das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht passt und mir persönlich das Ambiente zu clean ist - Geschmacksache.
