Sakuragiya - Japanese Ramen — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

On our first try after their grand opening the food was just ok, but much better ramen at umaimon. Despite this my son and I went back the other day to give them another try, never in my life have I went shooed away from a restaurant, was told to go outside and wait no explanation despite there being serval empty two top tables. What they could have said was: welcome and how many people? Then tell me I might have to wait outside for a little while. What a disappointment! They are lucky to be the only ramen place in Oberkassel, having a monopoly is their best friend. Go to umaimon or go to...

We came here for a late lunch and it was our first time actually. The restaurant was not too busy and the service was quick and friendly. We had shoyu rameb, miso ramen (I actually ordered the chicken/tori teri ramen; yet they brought the miso ramen with pork).

The ramen was good yet maybe below local standards considering the fine, rather industrial noodles and the light toppings like one small slice of meat and sparsely added greens. At all it is a good option when you are nearby. Otherwise Düsseldorf is home to some great Japanese...

Had 2 kinds of Ramen-Soya sauce and Salt on May 10th at dinner time. I was shocked to see there are only one piece of pork, (about 2mm thick), half egg and a few pieces of bamboo in the bowl, checked my friend’s portion… the same!!

I have eaten Ramen for a few decades in many cities all over the world and of course many times in Düsseldorf in other Ramen restaurants… This is shocking!!!
