Manager refused a young mum to breastfeed her 4 week old baby inside the Café.

I was there on a slightly windy summer morning with my sister, my niece and her 4 week old son. We were sitting outside and ordered breakfast. When my nieces baby got restless and needed to be breastfed, we asked the manager if it would be ok for her to come inside to breastfeed the baby. His answer was NO, because he might need the table for other guest. This was very disappointing to all of us. The manager there is always very moody, while the staff around us really friendly. Even the young waitress was embarrassed by his behaviour that day. To sum up: NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! Don’t go there and order expensive food if you might need to breastfeed there. We were all regulars but won’t go back...

Never judge a book by it’s cover, so the saying goes.... this springs to mind about Cafe Margaret’s. The first impression is misleading and do not allow the name to detract you. Perfect eatery or should I say restaurant. A stunning sharing starter followed by a simple pasta dish with bountiful truffle shavings. Guys , you serve brilliant food, good wine. Service has a relaxed, casual air that says ‘we know we are good’ and with a price ticket that nobody would question. Das Café Margareta im Zentrum von Erlangen ist klein aber fein, bei schönem Wetter werden Plätze auf der Terrasse angeboten. Große Auswahl an Kuchen, Café und Getränken.Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis finde ich angemessen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam Die Toiletten- sind etwas versteckt dafür aber ordentlich und sauber, leider nicht behinderten gerecht Außerdem bietet das Café auch kleinere Speisen an sowie Tagesgerichte. Man erreicht das Café am besten auf dem Fußweg oder mit dem Fahrrad.Unweit ist auch der Botanische Garten,Marktplatz,Bahnhof, und viele kleinere Shops. The café Margareta in the center of Erlangen is small but fine, in good weather places are offered on the terrace. Large selection of cakes, café and drinks. The price performance ratio I think appropriate. The staff are very friendly and attentive The toilets are a bit tucked away but tidy and clean, unfortunately not handicapped fair Also, the café also offers smaller meals and daily specials. The café is best reached on foot or by bike. Not far away is the botanical garden, market square, train station, and many smaller shops.
