Plan B Kaffeebar — Restaurant in Flensburg

I normally never write reviews, but this place made me make an exception. I'll start with the coffee first, because it's probably the most important thing after all. When it was served to our table, thanks to the most elaborate latte art I've ever seen, I knew the coffee would be just as high quality and delicious. I was right. I haven't enjoyed a cup of coffee like this in a long time. But for me, the most important part of my experience with this place was its service. So when I was forced to practice my German on a very nice barista, he was very open and benevolent about it. After a great coffee and some German conversation, as if I hadn't already lost enough of my reputation, I left my wallet in the cafe (of course I didn't even notice). And the good soul who made me the coffee ran well over half a kilometer down the street to find me and return my wallet with all my documents and money. I didn't even say thank you in that shock. So with this review I want to say a big thank you!

Mitten in Flensburgs lebhafter Norderstraße (Hausnummer 46) liegt die Plan B Kaffeebar, ein kleines, aber charmantes Café, das laut Google im Schnitt 4,7/5 Sterne bekommt . Klingt nach Versprechen? Ist es auch.

🎈 Atmosphäre & Ambiente

Egal ob du drin oder draußen sitzt – Retro-Minimal-Möbel und moderne Deko sorgen für eine Einrichtung, die man gern fotografiert (nicht nur Essen). Der Laden ist klein („klein aber oho“), was ihn aber umso gemütlicher macht – perfekt für Solo-Kaffee-Junkies oder Buchleser:innen, die inspiriert werden wollen.

☕ Kaffee & Kuchen: Herzklopfen im Tassenformat

Qualität hoch, Quantität überschaubar: Die Barista:innen zaubern exzellente Kaffeespezialisten und servieren alles liebevoll – oft auf Holzbrettchen mit einem Keks dazu. Kuchen wie Karottenkuchen, Zimtschnecken oder Bananenbrot sind beliebt – vegan gekennzeichnet, wenn vorhanden.

🧁 Veganes & Süßes

Die Auswahl veganer Leckereien ist überschaubar, aber die, die es gibt – wie veganes Bananenbrot oder Brownies – sind echte Highlights. Selbst wer keine Milch verträgt, darf sich über Hafermilch und Co. freuen. Nur der Aufpreis nervt ein wenig – aber hey, Hafermilch kostet eben.

⚠️ Kleiner Haken: Kein WC

Plan B bleibt charmant minimalistisch – und verzichtet konsequent auf ein eigenes WC. Man muss also entweder vorher vorausschauend planen oder auf das nächstgelegene Café ausweichen.

Zeitweise herrscht etwas Sitzplatz-Safari – früh da sein lohnt sich!

Atmosphäre: Winzig, aber voller Stil und Retro-Vibes. Wer minimalistische Möbel liebt, will hier eigentlich einziehen.

Kaffee: Spitze – je nach Tagesform und Bohne. Achtung, Espresso-Fans: Manchmal etwas säurelastig .

Kuchen: Selbstgemacht, süß und lecker – besonders vegane Köstlichkeiten glänzen.

Kritikpunkte: Kein WC (nicht ideal vor dem Kaffee), manchmal etwas beengt.

Gesamturteil: Der ideale Ort für Kaffeedates, Solo-Leserunden oder für alle, die bei Latte Macchiato und Hafermilch dem Alltag entfliehen möchten.

Finally a good, cozy coffee place in FL where the coffee is actually GOOD and reasonably priced. Real pressure coffee machine and quality roasted beans. I love it. It's small, but I think it's a place where you go to enjoy the beverages and a little time here feels better than an hour chilling at any other café.
