The restaurant is really beautifully designed and has a good atmosphere.

When we visited it was very busy and we needed a reservation; we wouldn't have been able to get in without it. Because there were so many visitors it was quite loud but that's normal with a lot of people. The only drawback was that the tables were pretty close together and you sat close to the people at the next table and you had to keep your chair close to the table otherwise you would hit the person behind you. Maybe it was just because extra tables were added.

The food was pretty good and nicely presented. The service was okay.

The young lady who served us was usually pretty annoyed and just walked past our table despite asking. For example, I ordered the chicken skewers without sauce because I have an allergy and got the dish with sauce. That can of course happen but when we asked the waitress just gave us an annoyed look. :( That was a real shame. Even when we asked for the receipt, they sighed in annoyance.

We've been enjoying weekend lunches at Imizu for years now, and overall, we always have a good experience.

The food quality is consistently good, with the sushi being a standout. It's always fresh, beautifully presented, and tightly wrapped, which makes it a delight to eat. Their bento boxes are an excellent choice for a satisfying lunch. We enjoy accompanying our meal with honey and ginger tea or homemade limonades, and finishing with their sesame and matcha ice cream.

The restaurant has a pleasant interior, though more frequent dining area floor and toilettes cleaning could enhance the experience.

Imizu’s terrace is one of the most spacious at Riedbergplatz, perfect for outdoor dining in good weather.

Tip: If you're really hungry, Imizu offers different dining options, including an all-you-can-eat option with tablet ordering.

Absolutely amazing value for money, taste atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff who speak English - why haven't i come here sooner! The lunch menu is FANTASTIC €10-13 on average for a small miso soup, rice, dumplings/sushi, 2xmeat/fish. We had the 21 and 31 - sensational.
