Let’s start with the food - grilled aubergine dip, hummus and falafel plus two waters = 39€. Well, 40, cos he kept the 1€ presumptuously.

Experience started with much familiarity etc, we exchanged names. This quickly spiralled into an unsolicited bizarre game of the manager and two young men guessing our ages - “can you believe she’s 34! I can’t believe it!”

My friend and I felt uncomfortable and we asked for the bill. As I was going upstairs to the toilets, which are disgusting, by the way, the manager clasped my shoulders and back. I involuntarily shouted out in surprise but it’s here I should have said something.

When I got back to my friend now waiting across the road, she was upset as the manager had snatched her phone from her, put his number into it and called his so he had hers.

At this I went back to say he must delete it and the way we have been treated is totally unacceptable. He was extremely defensive and shouting - “you’ve been drinking?”. I hadn’t. Saying this was his desperate attempt to deny me an impassioned response to being violated. Seeking to undermine is oppression 101.

He threatened me with calling the police and that Jessica outside needs to come control me.

And it’s exactly that - we had this experience because of who we are and how he thinks it’s his role to treat us. I write this so there is a record of his unacceptable behaviour in hope at least that another does not experience it. Shortcut - don’t give him...

BEWARE; DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

I strongly recommend against eating here. The restaurant used to be tops but is now run by new people, I am 77 and this is the first review I have ever felt strongly enough to take the time to write.

We were 4, We ordered Lamb shasklik , cucumber yogurt, bread and bottled water.

There were not many customers. after waiting 15 minutes one of us got the bottled water from the cooler.

The lamb shaslik consisted of 5 very small finger tip pieces of very dry lamb and 2 were of mine pure fat. The flat bread was stale and rubbery and the cucumber yogurt very watery and not very tasty.

I was really looking forward to eating here again and brought 2 friends along. HOWEVER; I am very disappointed ,I feel cheated because of the ridiculously small amount of lamb we were given and none of us found the food tasty. Both I and my wife who are now at home simply want to get the rancid aftertaste coming from our stomachs out of our system.

Unsere Erfahrungen beim ersten Besuch waren ehrlich gesagt ein wenig gemischt. Zum Teil liegt das daran, dass einiges nicht ersichtlich ist und auch nicht da steht. Dazu gehört, dass sich "Alpis Antep Kebab" als Restaurant sieht und nicht als Dönerbude. Das Dumme ist nur, als Erstbesucher weiß man das nicht. Es geht weder aus dem Namen hervor, noch steht es am Eingang. Wie sich im Laufe des Besuchs herausstellte, gibt es nicht nur die zwei Tische vor dem schmalen Eingang, sondern hinter dem Lokal befinden sich nochmal sechs oder sieben überdachte Tische. Im Lokal gibt es im ersten Stock ebenfalls Tische. Von außen sieht der schmale Eingang mit der Glasfront original wie eine Dönerbude aus. Der Tisch vor dem Eingang wurde gerade frei, als wir kamen. Als ich anmerkte, dass die Speisekarten auf dem Glastisch nur in arabisch sind, meinte der gehende Gast, es gäbe auch deutsche Speisekarten. Das wirkt in Garmisch schon etwas befremdlich. Beim Hinsetzen sagte uns der Kellner, dass man im Sitzen kein Döner bestellen dürfe. Das war für uns in Ordnung, könnte aber auch da stehen, dann muss man es nicht jedem Gast neu erzählen. Der Service war freundlich, insgesamt aber sehr holprig. Wir erhielten die deutsche Speisekarte, aber dann kam keiner mehr, um die Bestellung aufzunehmen. Wir sahen die Leute durch das Fenster, aber sie kamen einfach nicht. Irgendwann ging ich rein und bestellte dort. Der junge Mann meinte, dass eigentlich schon jemand die Bestellung aufnehmen würde - hat wohl gerade nicht geklappt. Als ich bezahlen wollte, hieß es, ich müsse drinnen bezahlen. Es könnte auch da stehen: "Bitte an der Theke bestellen und bezahlen". Das würde vieles erleichtern. Das Essen war gut und das Ayran auch sehr lecker. Ich konnte mich allerdings mit den Preisen nicht anfreunden. Eine Grillplatte für eine Person kostet 24,90 €. Darin sind drei Spieße enthalten. Der Dönerteller für 8,90 € war vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung und es gab auch warmes Brot dazu. Das Publikum besteht zum großen Teil aus arabischen Touristen. Deren Gewohnheiten entsprechen z.T. nicht unbedingt unseren Gepflogenheiten. Wenn ein Mann vor der Damentoilette steht und diese bewacht, dann macht das meiner weiblichen Begleitung eher Angst. Anfangs war nicht klar, was der Mann dort will, wenn doch die Herrentoilette frei ist. Als die arabische Frau raus kam, war offensichtlich, dass er auf sie wartete. In der Damentoilette muss man wissen, wie man den Wasserhahn aufdreht - nach vorne ziehen nämlich. Offensichtlich ist dort ein Stück abgebrochen und nicht...
