Caffeehaus Moser "Wiener Art" — Restaurant in Geisenheim

We have been there with my family and my sisters family on 31st of december arnd 3-4 pm. It was dark and cold outside and the this only place was open. At first we wanted to have only coffe and cake but then kids wanted gulash soup and chicken soup as well. So we ordered 4 gulash soups, 1 chicken soup, coffee and few cakes. Decoration inside is not my style, its dark and very old items around. Smells just oldish inside, toilets are very smelly and disgusting. In general the place is not very hygenic. The food was absolutely not enjoyable. Soups had no taste, gulash was made out of pack or mixed with water many times. Very watery and tasteless. My kids did not eat it. Chicken soup was the funniest, I had 2 tuny chicken pieces floating in a big plate, the rest was water. So non of the soups were delicious, do not order them. They are cheap and they taste cheap. About cakes, the cream of the cakes was bitter, I told lady that cream is old and she must taste it herself if she does not believe me. She said she will inform bakery where they get cakes from. So most of the cakes were not eaten either. Total dissappointment. A man behind the counter was very loud and expressing his opinion how he is fed up of working there and discussing it as loud as guest could hear. Anyways I would not recommend this place if you like friendly and clean, good quality food coffe shop. At least the lady who served us very friendly, she listened to all what we said and promised to pass it to the owner. The only thing is, she has long hair whick is not tied up and we found her hair on our cake plate.

P.S, dear owner, is it the way you talk to your dear guest who actually the reason why your business exsits? Are you telling me you were closed on 31.12.2022? We have been there and we have pictures to prove it. So strange you are telling you had holidays since weeks if we have just been...

Following should be improved The dish for cake is not that nice and pretty old, plus not suitable for cake since it is much bigger than the cake. The door glass is not cleaned. Why there is no tissue paper served with? This is basic things that restaurants should provide to customers The service is good but a bit strange system: One refuses to take order for cake since she receives only drinks orders. Customer has to order cakes in front of the counter… Table cloth is not fit to the table, should be bigger to suit the table Toilet is cleaned. Cake is okay, the texture(Biscuits is too dry I think (Käze Sahne) The empty cup I got is a bit dirty….

Passed by this place based on a recommendation. Honestly the flair is quiet charming, but thats about where is ends. I would say that the cakes where not fresh and not quiet the taste you would expect from a coffee house, they tasted like a store bought convenience cake, maybe am wrong but i have had many many better cakes than that and also for a better price. The banana milk i ordered was just from the bottle and didnt hit the spot too so honestly i wouldnt go back here, its not worth the money you are paying, am sure there are better places around that area to have a good coffee and...
