We went there twice in 2 days. Our day one experience was great as we went there for lunch at around 15:00 and the restaurant was empty. The food was nice and also prepared according to our taste. As we had a good experience we thought of visiting them again the very next day which was a Saturday evening. As we thought it might be crowded we did reservations in advance. They made us wait in the cold outside still for 30 min even though we said we have a kid. After that the food we ordered took more than 45 min to be served. All food except for Biryani tasted good. We thought as we were not so happy with Biryani we will atleast let them know that we didnt like the Biryani. We got a very cold reaponse saying that You guys know that we are Indian fusion kitchen. It was very disappointing as other foods tasted authentic but one dish for which we had feedback they said its Indian fusion. Also the organization was very chaotic. No one to ask what we want not enough people to serve they had it felt like things were not organized as they planned for.
we had a good first experience but were really disappointed when we went back again and hope if they organize themselves better we can have all experiences better
Edit: Again rather than taking a feedback you are still trying to justify so I understand the feedback doesn't matter to you. Whatever I write you will justify. To add to what you replied we had booked a table for 8:30 and not 9:00 pm. Also we are giving our opinion and as a customer we expect you take some feedback and not just justify all what you do. We also gave the feedback in the restaurant and not writing just here. The disappointment is even in the restaurant when we gave the feedback you had a justification. You mention that we could have told we want all together. In all restaurants we have been to they also ask do you want all together or just the starters first. You mention we could have told we dont want capsicum in Biryani. No where we have seen capsicum in Biryani and we assumed it wont be here to. Do you expect us to know your recipe?
Anyways I edited as i felt for one someone will take a feedback. Not expecting a...
Read moreFinally after a lot of recommendation from my friends, we visited the restaurant last week. the ratings were really good too. The location of the restaurant is in a prime and lively spot.
Ambience: We seated inside and the ambience of the restaurant is particularly pleasing.
Food/Ingredient Quality and Quantity: The quality and Quantity of the ingredients definitely was great. No issues with the quality of the food.
Authenticity: We ordered, Indian fried chicken, chicken Sheekh kabab, Chicken Biriyani and Mutton Bhuna. The waiter asked if we wanted more spicy and we said Yes. Mutton Biriyani tasted more like Pulav with sweet raisins and almonds. Not so authentic. You know it when you see Shimla Mirch in the biriyani. Mutton Bhuna was Ok and not spicy at all. I would like to say i don't like very spicy, but we expected a little heat but that was completely missing. Indian fried chicken was OK, nothing much to say. The Chicken Sheekh kabab was really good. we enjoyed savoring it. And surprisingly the dish came with a roti (very nice) The rotis and naan were top notch. Very soft and tasty. we had ordered a mix basket.
Overall, i would say a decent place if you want to try Indian food if you cannot handle heat. Would i go again? I don't think so.
Just to mention that the restaurant name "Goa" has nothing to do with the Goan Cuisine of India.
Please insist on asking the bill...
Read moreWelcome to India 😇, Goa Indian Restaurant is a very special place with its taste, location and ambiance. I am very happy to have come here. My girlfriend and I came to Goa after the concert at Elbphilarmonie. When we searched for a restaurant on Google, we found this place and I'm glad we came. Because we were both enchanted in Goa due to the proportion of spice and flavor. We will definitely come again.
We visit Hafencity all the time, because Hafencity is Hamburg's most beautiful poem. Goa provides a great service in Hafencity. So I definitely recommend you to visit it.
You shouldn't just think of it as Indian food. For example, if you want chicken, you can come here thinking that the best chicken is cooked here.
You can also surprise yourself by choosing a dish from the random menu. My girlfriend chose my meal that way and a nice variety of food was included in my life. This wonderful interior design and taste came together in Hafencity. It was great. ...
