Come for the authentic atmosphere and the polite and attentive staff. The food itself tasted fine.
The restaurant was recommended to us by a local newspaper (Fyns Stiftstidende) as one of the places to eat on an extended visit to Hamburg. The atmosphere was very nice and seemed authentic -- the restaurant even has a seating area where you can only sit if you take off your shoes first -- and the food was presented in a very appealing manner.
The tastes however, were a little simplistic and a little too greasy for my liking. Nothing bad, just not as delicious as I had hoped for.
We payed around 100€, for two people, for what was practically a 6-course meal with starter, mains and dessert. I didn't mind paying the cost, but I could see why someone would be disappointed by the quality you get...
Read moreMy experience of this overpriced restaurant is as follows. With having a reservation no one there to greet us , not even asked for our coats even though the coat rack was in front of our eyes.
Being seated next to another table when the resturant was clearly empty others conversations were unable to be ignored.
The pricing for food and the quantity was one event in itself however having an allergic reaction after specifically stating I’m allergic to pineapples after asking the content of what’s the dish had as they were not listed clearly on the menu.
Specifically having to request a vegetarian and a Desert menu. For 100€ for 2 people it was deplorable experience with not being able to even give 0 start or a -1 online makes this place somewhere I would never reccomend...
Read moreThe interior is fantastic, it really feels like you are in Thailand. The food is okey, only the day soup I did not like (chicken) but that is my own personal taste I think. The people that work here seem to be people from Thailand, they are friendly but they keep a lot of distance from the table whe you are making your order. To me as a European it looks strange, but I think it well known that Asian people don't like too much direct contact. Or maybe it is just because I smell bad, no clue. I was here on a Friday afternoon and the restaurant was not crowded at all. But I was there around 14 h 30 only of course. They have a special seating area when you can eat on low tables, bare feet (or at least no shoes) with special pillows. Very nice I think for...
