I wasnt expecting much and the restaurant is pretty hidden. Turns out it was a hidden gem. The Pho is one of the best I've had here in Germany. For some, the portion is perhaps too small but its perfect for me. The only thing I could complain about is the price but at the end of the day, I'd rather come back and pay more for a good quality one than go to a cheaper one with bigger portion that I cant even finish. Solid 2.5 stars. Unfortunately, this place did not deliver on a price performance ratio. We paid 49 Euros in total for a papaya salad (quite delicious, highly recommend), a traditional beef pho (broth was good, but the flavours were undeveloped, there were no bean sprouts or basil served, and most importantly, the beef was lean and tough. This pho was priced at a whopping 16 euros), and a chicken teriyaki equivalent (the chicken was two thin slices of breast, not the best part to use for a chicken terriyaki). Don’t bother! Greeted by very ornery staff, who clearly did not want customers, even though we had a reservation and paid for two taxis to get there. She should reimburse us for the trouble of getting there and having to interact with her. Very sad, we had a Vietnamese friend and their children, only to be treated so poorly by someone from their own homeland. Avoid at all costs. So many fabulous Vietnamese restaurants in Hamburg, sad this one is giving them a bad reputation. Avoid...
